I hadn't really thought about this from a dolphin's point of view. Being a minnow with only a cursory one-time glance from a whale, I don't take being ignored personally. But for those who used to enjoy favor, it must be very disheartening. It's always been my hope that a more diverse, competitive group of minnows would eventually alter the whales' environment into something more resembling an ecosystem you might actually find in nature.
