I think you have to earn money first before you can give it away as rewards for good content by others. Like you I am a minnow and often I upvote and nothing happens as I have used all of my earned income. However, I love interacting with others who post so I think my comments are as much appreciated as the cent I can/or not give them. Just keep writing and commenting and you will achieve a following. Good content is the key to success I think, and that should see you progress. It does take some time though, so don't get frustrated and give up....persevere! X

Thank you for your response. But this is just an error and there should be a real reason to be found for it. I am not sure what you mean by Money, but I have plenty of Steem in my account (source externally as I already had it in my alt-coins portfolio) and also I powered up for some steem, so I would think there are enough funds....
Did you ever find out what is causing this?? I am having the same problem. it worked last night. Earned over $300 for one post. I just signed up last night. Now though I am getting the same error. I will wait overnight and see if maybe we just have to wait for the voting power to come back. That may be what is going on. Steem just underwent a hardfork so people can only vote 10 times at max voting power but the votes are worth more. So it is a tradeoff. Keep me updated will you? I will do the same.
