Is Steemit Dead or Alive!

There seems to little or no interest in this forum anymore, sadly! Steemians or so they are called seem only interested in there own wallets, real humans are uploading fantastic art work to the forum and people have things to say and are seemingly ignored, even when you have several hundred followers its rare to get a vote and I'm sure the creators of this forum did not intend for this to be this way.

According to steemits own write up the following information is the underlying priciple.

Upvotes are Steemit's way of saying you like someone's post or comment.
Once you follow someone, all of their posts will show up in your "Feed" on the homepage when you login.
If you want to share someone else's post with all of your followers, click on the resteem icon.
Up to 25% of the reward for posts goes to the people who voted on it. These people are called curators The more Steem Power you have in your account, the more your upvotes will be worth, and the more potential curation rewards you can earn!

A reputation score is one way Steemit measures the amount of value you have brought to the community.
The higher the number, the more weighted votes an account has earned.

Now I ask The question if you have seven hundred followers is it because 700 people like what you have to say or are they deluded in thinking that by having you follow them it will increase there wallet? And how does anyone have enough time or voting power to follow 700 people! It seems to me we need a road map to give us directions.

I realise to some steemians this is not a problem but for the vast majority stumbling around in the dark without a strategy and focused on there wallets, is dragging this forum down until it won't serve anybody.

I have the following suggestions for success:

  1. Don't focus on your wallets.
  2. Find 1 or 2 mediums to follow that interest you and expand on them as your interests change.
  3. Engage with articles of interest comment Etc.
  4. If you like somebody's work follow them until you no longer like there work or personality.
  5. Remember its your votes that influence your wallet and if you show no interest in the work of others they will not be interested in you so engage with the community and they will engage with you.

If you try to cheat others you are only cheating yourself as this is a self defeating prophecy, love and respect your fellow steemians cos they are your income, remember its better to have 10 votes than none at all.

With kindness and respect for everyone we can all prosper!

Kind regards Gez.........
