No. You’re definitely right. You do need to buy upvotes in order to get noticed by more people on Steemit. That’s very true. Especially to end up on the hot or trending page where a lot of people look.
I saw this problem when i was trying to talk about the issue of whether SBD should be tied to the dollar or not. This is a debate going on, and developers are thinking of making it worth $1.but there are a lot of issues with that, and many people hear aren’t even aware that people are thinking of doing. So i paid for upvotes to make my post worth something and i didnt pay enough.
So I’m asking you here to talk about this issue to you followers and tell them what you decide. I just want the issue being brought up by more people so the community is involved with it. I’m not asking for upvotes or resteems, just that you take the time to spread the word. Here is my post, feel free to check it out and see what i think on the issue:

I thought it was strange that the SBD increased by so much so quickly. I find it interesting as well that the value of SBD does not appear to affect voting power. I would have thought a higher SBD would lower voting power.
