RE: The Daily Coverup -- Transparency Under Attack.

What you wrote is only your opinion on why people downvoted the bot's post. You stated:
'downvote the comment in an effort to hide it or at least put it at the bottom of the list so no one will notice it.'

I did not downvote the bot post because of the reasons that you gave above. I downvoted it because it is spam. When anyone clicks the flag, the Steemit system gives possible reasons why someone would flag a post or a comment. One of them is 'spam'.

The Steem blockchain is not encrypted like Monero, anyone can make one click on the wallet and see every transaction make by that account. Nothing is being hidden. You make it appear that people are trying to hide the use of bots? Like it is shameful to be using them while they are available for anyone that want to use them.

Let get one thing straight here, I am 100% for addressing the abuse of this platform. There are people like haejin which posts multiple times a day and has a few friends with high SP and they upvote every single post. He (I assume it was he) was gathering $1000 in Steem and SBD's every day. That is abuse. I think your effort to fight abuse is better spent going after people like haejin.

There are also people on this platform with multiple accounts with high SP. They upvote the posts of their 2nd/3rd accounts and eventually move the proceeds to the Bittrex exchange. That is abuse.

Your post on my blog stated that it gained over $50 by using bid bots. This is not true and you may want to change it if you want a system that does not comment/produce false information. If you add up the bots that I used (and I am taking the numbers based on the auto bot post, it adds up to $48.20. It did not make the $50 mark, but the post did make over $50 from others that upvoted it.

In addition, I put in bids worth $25 (My own SBD). When you minus the $25 from $48, I made a total of $23 minus 25% curation. Is that abuse? I'm sure someone can see it as abuse, but it certainly is not $1000+ a week like the 'real' abusers of this system.

The bots are not illegal to use on this system. If it was, Ned and the witnesses would have stopped them already. I know that some people are abusing the bots for large rewards, like $300+ and to get on the trending page.

Most of us just want to gather additional Steem/SBD's for their efforts and to be on this platform for the long term. I have not extracted any Steem or SBD's to the exchange for payment. I have only purchased Steem/SP in small quantities since July 17.

Many have turned to the bots have produced quality posts only to receive .25 mainly b/c they do not have anyone supporting them. Compare this to an old timer who posts something generic and gets $100+.

Hi @glennolua, we believe this is spam by every definition in the book. Nothing more to say or discuss here. Time to knock this bot into the next dimension. He doesn't get it.
