Could Steemit Store My Bitcoin? Is Adding a Bitcoin Wallet to Steemit Possible And Profitable?

in #steemit8 years ago

I was wondering could Steemit add a simple to use BTC wallet. One which I would still be the only person who holds the private key. I can't code or anything but I imagine it would be simple enough to integrate into Steemit. The next step would obviously be to add a BTC/Steem pair to the market. Would adding BTC/Steem trading even be possible without Steemit exchange having access to the private keys? Maybe an escrow exchange instead?

If above was done would people be afraid of Steem losing its internal use? I think not because BTC is the foundation and Steem can co-exist openly without fear of it affecting its market cap. I know I would love to be able to transfer my BTC to my Steemit account just for the sake of it being handy. I just figured Steemit is already a pretty damn decent wallet so why not make it one? Would be another way to drive traffic here because no one particularly likes exchanges and people do love online wallets.

Its possible to own your private keys. The problem would now be to implement cross-chain transaction-->btc/steem. They may need to retain your private key for this to work. Eitherway its possible. Would be interesting to see it on here.

I think they should resolve the issue of bots down voting other peoples posts and taking profits from Steem without contributing anything first. Its my opinion that Steem would have more user confidence if bots were not allowed. Your Idea would be a good tool to get more members and also the fact that Steem and your altcoins are on the same website would promote more donations, but would also require SEC and various other regulatory agencies to approve it first.

I think your anger needs more focus than all bots must die. They just need to be improved.

I do respect your right to think so all the same ;)

Bots are basically A. I. "guiding" how we should think and act. When the bot decides the comment is against the agenda, the poster is punished, by being down voted. Being down voted by a human being, is different than being down voted by a Bot. That's my point of view Im trying to express. As human beings, we should be able to express our own thoughts and ideas, and not have a computer making those decisions, based on some "agenda".

I will truly fear a A. I. when they invent a Roomba that doesn't smear dogshit all over the floor. Never set you Roomba to automatic. Always precheck the floor before releasing the Roomba.
