I've found the Discord site very confusing to use. I've never been able to find any room that might have been mentioned in a post. Is there such a thing as a direct link? (a real Neanderthal here when it comes to this stuff..)
Or perhaps a really complete description on how to get to this place?

Nice to meet you! We do plan on creating a channel or two on Steemit to resteem blogs posted under the tags we create from our contest being announced tomorrow. So using Discord isn't necessary, but does increase your exposure.
