Steemit NO longer supports ANONYMITY...........

Steemit recently updated their Privacy Policy and this is what caught my attention.

I signed up on Steemit so I can be anonymous for many reasons. Steemit only required an email to sign up for an account on Steemit. Then they asked for a phone number for newer accounts. Now this major change on privacy.

One of the reasons, I need anonymity so that my life is not at risk for speaking the truth. I guess I can't do this on Steemit anymore.

Please share your opinion on these changes to Steemit.

I believe that for those willing to pay, there are still ways to open an anonymous steemit account.
Without identity verification people could open multitude of accounts for free.

The problem is that informaitons about your IP and all your transactions on steemit are being stored and that's what many people will find as a threat

I never really had any doubts that anonymity will be taken away from steemit and every single social media out there sooner or later.
