I see so many who upvote themselves in the comment section yet do not upvote the post. What is interesting is rarely are the self upvoters of comments the ones leaving detailed, long, applicable comments. Those people usually post and let the community decide.
We really do need more attention given to this subject. I think you just inspired me to write a post about it....
Proper commenting and upvoting is really what separates those who are to be taken seriously from those who are not.
