@juliamulcahy, @hafiz34 the interfaces themselves can implement this feature of rewarding old content, as for evergreen, posts that never get old it is based on economics from what I have heard and you should be able to find a few links on the discussion. Very lazy now. The basic point is because of the reward pool and because this is an economic system you just can't have evergreen content.
But as I said some clever engineering by the interface and people can reward others maybe on their latest comments, etc. It is more a case of inconvenience that we still keep asking for this and if I find links that explain it nicely I will share ;) pretty sure I will.
This is a good point. I have found some very useful posts that have helped me immensely but as they are passed the 7 day threshold my upvote has no value, even though their post still holds much. Surely an algorithm that rewards new upvotes each week could be devised.
That would be a great idea. But I have to wonder if there is something that prevents this from happening. Like the amount of the posts to monitor... or something.
