Hi Steemians
Finally I got my braces on today. The orthodontist put brackets on the top, nothing on the bottom yet. I will get them in the future, because I have impacted canines and might need a small surgery to get them out. I had to do all this when I was a teenager, but it was a complicated case. I was also lazy and didnt want to go through all this pain. Now finally I decided to finish what I have started some years ago and have to stay 20 months with the braces. I wanted to have the latest Invisalign clear braces, but he said, they are not suitable for my case. So I got the invisible ones and I think they are OK.
It is my first day and I feel a bit uncomfortable. I can break up the food a bit but really chewing it is out of the question. So I will have my classic oatmeal bowls, baby milk, fruits and yogurts, until I can eat proper food. I will miss pizza, donuts and sushi for a while, but time passes anyway very quickly. I am happy for every step I do and for the courage that I finally had.
I heard we will have 42C degrees on Sunday and people can go to beach. It is really crazy, because today is 26C. When people enjoy their time in beaches I have to stay indoors with AC on. I have sensitive skin and dont tolerate the sun much, so I will have fun in the next weeks. I already miss the cold winter days...
I wish I hadn't bought braces, they were sooooo expensive! :O
I never bothered, but my teeth aren't horribly crooked. Then again, I'm a guy.

Well I have to cut everything into very small pieces and eat them. I have to figure out a way in the next days :P
everything will be fine, don't worry ...you will be used to with passage of time and you will feel nothing bad

i got my braces at 27 years old ( late better than never hh ) it was a simple experience never influenced my appearance or my confidence it’s only demand extra * extra cleaning .that’s all 😉
As you said better late than never! I noticed yesterday that I have to clean more than before :(

Thank you :) I managed to cut my croissant into small pieces today and ate it. At home I can manage, but need to avoid complicated food when I go to restaurants lol

How much does it bother you? In a scale from 0 to 10. I have to do the same in a few weeks, I posposed this so long.... But there are things that one must do in life, and this is one of them. Good luck with your pain! And hey! You have a beautiful smile!
Seriously it is not bothering me much. Lets say 4. You just need to adjust your food and forget about it :)

Seriously yes :) But I dont have a nice smile with braces lol
