Hi Steemians
We are all born with an inherently self-serving nature that forces us to ruthlessly compete with one another and sometimes even succeed at the expense of others. We fail always to achieve a state of peace with another person, even when the other person want to be at peace just as we do. Somehow one of us comes out of the path and ruins everything. We keep blaming ourselves and others, instead of focusing on the true problem.
But there are people who are naturally not into peace, whatever we do to please them. It takes only one person to disturb them, because they are into war, violence and fighting. And once violence is met with violence, we try to find a way to end it. It is quite complicated isn't it! Just one Cat among the mice is sufficient :)

Whenever I have a discussion like this with my friends, I try to explain my point of view. Nobody is born full of hatred or thirsty for violence. It is the mistake of the family and the society. They made the drug dealer, they made the prostitute and they made the killer.
There are many misleading things in life that act as a barrier to us living in peace and harmony. The power of love has been overpowered by the love for power. Sometimes when we expect many things in life, but can't achieve them our mind becomes scattered and It can lead to a frustrating life.
- We need to be kind and give without expecting anything in return.
- We need to understand that peace requires the cooperation of everyone.
- We need to learn how to live in peace and not only rest in peace.
@hanen full on hatred or thirsty for violence isn't exactly what we are born with but research says that we do come programmed to want to kill each other.
Then we need a new Virus called "Peace" :)
To live in harmony and find the way to inner peace is much more to be open-minded and ready to review your understandings, yet it's more rewarding because you'll grow as a person and live in greater harmony with those around you .. nice article @hanen
Indeed! Thank you for checking my blog :)
The people who use violence to solve problems have a very different way of thinking from me. I can't think like that. All through history the ones in power have usually killed lots of people. Humans have a long way to go to be peaceful
Too complicated, isn't it :) Seems like we are dreaming of the impossible :(
I think the secret is to build spiritual retreats for people, who can come get away from all that and connect back to Earth and other people with similar feelings and ideas. ONe of my goals it to build a retreat that will be a museum of my art but also a place to do yoga workshops and art workshops and sustainable living workshops and spiritual ceremonies etc...
Thats a nice idea. You should work for it and you will have it one day! I saw many nice retreats in South Africa and Asia. I am thinking about visiting one of them this year or next year. I really need it.
Do you know about CoSM? It's a place in NY dedicated to the art of famous visionary artist Alex Grey and also a retreat for artists and other types of events like I mentioned, check it out @ http://www.CoSM.org
No I didnt know. I checked it out. Looks amazing and very beautiful art. It is a place where you forget the outside world once you enter it :
That's my inspiration to have my own place like that one day, maybe in 20 years. Small steps every day will lead me there :)

I believe we need to uphold family values and teach and show our children how to love. it is sad that there is too much hatred out there! and it all begins from the family.
Indeed! Even in schools, they have to teach them the real values of life.
