3 Days ago I celebrated a month here on Steemit
And at the time I remember thinking how crazy it was that i've literally posted something on Steemit every single day since I opened my account. Sometimes twice a day, sometimes even three times a day if I ever had a day I was really excited!
I was on a roll!
...and then I broke it! I had a whole 24 hours that I didn't post anything π
This is definitely something that I felt a little bad about... not too bad, but kind of like the level of bad you feel when you're having a really healthy day and then you drink a can of coke and you're like "dammit hannah, you were doing so well!"
I know it is definitely a good idea to be posting at least once a day, if not more like 3 times a day, as I found when I looked at the Top 50 Author Posting Strategies. I feel like a really good habit that I wanted to get into was posting once in the morning and once in the evening because that way you're catching different types of people from different time zones as well. According to @cerebralace the best time of day to post is between 1-7pm EST.
But how can you post so frequently?
π Keep a place (either a notebook or on your phone) to write down ideas that pop into your head about posts to create. π‘
π Set aside time each day to write something. I am trying to spend some time between 7am-8am on Steemit in the mornings, and then some time before I go to bed as well!
π Day off? Create some content in advance. On your next day off from work, try and work through a few of the posts that you have listed in your notebook. Next time you make a meal, take some photos of the steps, and then next time you're in need of a post, turn those photos into a recipe.π΄
π Schedule posts using Streemian. It has other great features too, for a guide on setup see here.
π Don't be afraid of smaller posts! Post a picture of your dog or something funny that happened to you that day, it might make someone smile! π
π Try new things. Never posted a recipe? a poem? a photo? try it! Steemit is all about experimentation and finding what works for you. Search for competitions, they might give you a good idea on something to create, like making your own meme or writing a story! π
π Be inspired by others! Read others content, engage, watch videos, and more and more ideas will start to pop into your head!
Obviously, life gets in the way sometimes! But I am looking forward to my next day off to get inspired and create some new posts! π
How do you guys manage to post daily content? Or do you find it a struggle as well sometimes to keep up on Steemit? Let me know in the comments! π

Some useful stuff in here .... And you have streaked past me in the followers to a 1000 race . I took the whole of last week off being out of town with no or limited signal.... But epic post or three will come from that week.... Eventually.
Cool!! What were you up to in such a remote place?Haha, well the race isn't over yet @themagus I'm sure you still have time to beat me to it ;)
A case of the tortoise and the hare I am afraid. You would have to pull a Rip van Winkel for me to pass you.
I played in a lawn bowls tournament during their Oyster Festival (4 days), and my fiancee joined me on Friday as she ran the Forest Marathon.
I will do a couple of posts around the trip.
awww cool :) i bet that will be fun to see!!
I upp'ed the ante {smile}...check out my profile description ...LOL
HAHAHA!!! thats so funny :)
Let the competition begin!!!
blogging should come naturally i think, it's ok not to be present for a day or so, but i return to it like a post it note pad. i've always got something to express eventually! :)
Yeah definitely true, if you have nothing to say may as well say nothing haha :)
I will remember this for future!! no need to feel bad about not always having something to post
Great tips! And such inspiration as well! I only post 1-3 times a day and your advice is something I will take!βοΈ
Lovely day to youπ
thanks so much :) lovely day to you too!
..... I like to keep notebook handy as well ;)Hey, some days are better then other but personally, I think you're doing an awesome job @hannahlicious!
thanks @awesome-seven, i think you are doing awesome as well, hehe :)
:)
I don't blog everyday but i post comments frequently ie a few times during the day usually in the mornings and evenings.
I agree with you that notes of things to write on should be kept it helps keep things in perspective and prevents "boring posts". Some thought should be put into it to enrich and engage others.
yeah posting comments are definitely important as well :) thanks for mentioning that!!!
Yes, yes, and yes to all of this!
I generally burn myself out editing photos and putting in so much effort into my posts (this is do all day Saturday and most of Sunday). Normally by wednesday I am just tired of it all, with work, Steem and my outside of Steem life.
I then take a rest and run up a million posts again on Thursday eve.
Thanks for the tips, @hannahlicious - always such good advice. I've added the link you've posted about the posting strategies to my reading list and will read all about it later
Also - on the topic of small posts... last night I did one, and I felt so miffed that it was not like my usual posts, with lots of thought out content and edited pics. BUT it is important to always be posting (hahaha hearing the ABC of Boiler Room there), so I am not too hard on myself.
Xxx keeses
Yeah it is hard... Steemit requires a lot of attention and effort sometimes in terms of putting your posts together and everything! So it is super easy to get burnt out.
And yeah with the topic of smaller posts, sometimes you can never predict, even with longer posts as well... sometimes you can post a picture of your dog and it makes $20 and then another day you could put a lot of effort into making a longer post and it makes like $0.10 haha!! Steemit is funny like that sometimes :) but we shouldn't be hard on ourselves, you're right! π

Wow one month here and your Reputation Level is already 55!!! Well done... like this soon i will see you on the main page in the rankings. Well in my case i am posting when i have a little bit of time as i am working on a cruise ship and most of the time i am busy at work. But it is what it is! For me its important that i found Steemit and there is no other place i want to be and i know there will be a time when i will be able to post more and get more involved... till then i will Steem on as much as i can!
thank you @georgemales!! Haha, wow life on a cruise ship must be amazing @georgemales but i am sure it must be very busy as well! would definitely be interesting to hear some cruise ship stories of what life is like for you :)
Well working on a cruise ship have ups and downs. It is amazing from the traveling point thats why i start to post a bit in travel but yes it is very very busy as well. But for sure i will post more from my travels and share with my friends here the places that i visit and other interesting things. I am really glad you are one of my friends here... you have a wonderful family and i always enjoy reading your blogs. Till next time have a fabulos Tuesday!
thanks so much, i look forward to seeing these posts in future :) Hope you have a fabulous tuesday too!!! :)
Another great, useful and Inspiring post. I really love being following you !
I understand your bad feeling about break a streak I hate when I fail to accomplish something I plan too, but the bright side is that this made you make this great post, and make us wonder about question such as
"Am I using a good strategy here on steemit?" "Can I make my strategy better?"
One thing I'm still not really used to is posting every day, sometimes I feel this "fear" like "I think this is not the right time to make this post" or "I think this post will be too small I'll save it to post liked with another subject"
the truth is I'm am still getting use to post making, I really want do develop a habit or even posting schedule couse as you said I think posting every day at least once is really important to our Steemit growth's health.
My experimental strategy in this last week was focus on help new users with some information I've already gather in here, and this naturally make my followers rise well for a while, I was concern about focus on making great posts, investing lot of time and it doesn't have a good reach due to the little amount of followers I had. But I think now is time to change my strategy again, I still not sure how but your posts have given me some insights.
Thank you once more you and your family are really amazing! ^^
And always Steem on!
Yes I definitely feel that fear too... but sometimes when you feel the fear, and then you post anyway, sometimes you get a really good response :)
I think that you are doing really well here with your strategies... you already have a reputation of 56 now :) amazing! but yeah it is always good to re-evaluate how things are going week to week :)
thanks andy!! hope you have a great dayaww thanks @andyluy I love following you too!
That happened to me 2 weeks ago, but I didn't post anything for a whole week! I felt kinda guilty to be honest haha
However, I've been really consistent ever since and have went up a few reps and gained a lot of supporters!
It definitely pays to put out consistent content!
click here! This post received a 4.3% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @hannahlicious! For more information,
it is a good idea to post 2 or 3 each day
very true :)
So I have been contemplating to use Streemian for a while now. But I'm a little hesitant to give them my keys... Do you think that won't cause me any problems?
I know of a few whales that use streemian, so I trusted in it and haven't had any problems :)
Oh thanks I'll look into it again then :)
Thanks for the shout out @hannahlicious! Don't feel too bad about breaking your Steemit streak - there's always an opportunity to start a even better streak next time! I agree that blogging every day can be tough but you can definitely continue commenting every single day. Also, it helps to change it up a bit by doing different types of posts like photography, poems, art and even vlogs! You're always doing a fantastic job on Steemit - keep up the great work!
Don't worry you are good :)
You need time to rest.
thank you @ikadika :)
