Steemit How To: Make More Money on Your Posts!

I want to start by saying that Steemit is not just about making money on your posts! It is a great social network built on blockchain that allows us to connect with each other in a completely different way than we do on Facebook or Instagram. It's a place that we can learn new things, laugh, make friends and explore our creative sides.

However, Steemit also has the added fun of financial rewards. So on that note, I thought I would share a post for newbies on how to maximize the financial return on their posts, to keep motivated when first starting out on Steemit!

👯 1. The Free Way: Engaging With Others 👅

💛 Follow Other Bloggers: who share similar interests, engage with them in the comments on their posts and yours, and build a relationship so that they are eager to see what your next post will be.

💚 Comment ASAP: Comment as soon as you can on other people's content with your perspective or reaction to what they have shared. This will give your comment a better chance of being seen and upvoted.

💗 Steemit Chat: Get on Steemit Chat in post promotion, or the chatroom that fits your niche and share your link with others. Read their links as well, this will help you find more people that you share interests with and make more friends on Steemit!

🐳 2. Get an Upvote from @Randowhale 🐳

If you look at popular Steemians, what do a lot of them have in common?: A lot of them are sending 2 SBD to @Randowhale as a gamble to score between a 1-50% upvote on their post and increase the Payout Amount.

Make sure you read the full explanation and Terms and Conditions by @Randowhale but here is how to get a @Randowhale vote:

Go to your wallet and send 2 SBD to @randowhale, including the URL to the post you would like the upvote on in the Memo section

@Randowhale will then comment on your post telling you what percentage of upvote your post has receievd. It is a total gamble, so it could be anywhere between 1-50%

Someone might even be kind enough to gift you a @Randowhale vote, like this one I recieved from @decentralizd 🍁 🔥 (thank you!!)

🐠 3. The Minnow Support Project 🐟

@Vinnu was kind enough to gift me a minnow support project vote for one of my posts, and then walked me through the steps of how to join the Minnow Support Project. I definitely recommend that you check out his post that will give you step by step screenshots on how to join.

It will help to give you sometimes up to an extra 50 upvotes on a post, but it will cost you 0.002 Steem, which @vinnu kindly helped me to send as I didn't have any Steem at the time, and now I can send back to him!

Thanks for your advice. Although I am here for a month, I still haven't used the service provided by randowhale and joined the Minnow Support Project, maybe I should spend some time to look them up in the next few days

Yes you definitely should! Try at least once to see the difference it will make :) having said that randowhale is a gamble so you could only get a 1% up vote from him, but still fun I guess to explore all the different features of steenit! :)

Thanks for the first line caveat, I know a lot of newbies come here looking to get rich quick. I just want a loyal following for the awesome original content I post and I'll be happy. Halfway there already because I am in alignment with it. Keep up the good work.

Yeah I don't really think there is a "get rich quick" with Steemit... I imagine that it probably takes a lot of time, and posting... so I think just wanting to get on here and blog and build up a following over time is the best way to go as you said for sure :)
But definitely being able to see you post go from $0.00 to $0.40 to $2.00 is exciting for me, it kinds of make Steemit like a cool fun blogging video game haha :)
