Hey nice post, with some good points.
A lot of Steemians that pour passion into their writing, videos, music, and/or photography get paid less than many Steemians that just simply post.
Steem(it) is a game ! Voting Bots and Vote trading are constant factors in the equation. Usage of voting bots is more and more a must if you want to get a wider visibility. Vote trading is important to get an initial boost for your post, to have chance to be "hot".
So if you just rely on doing your thing without investing a lot or having a "clan" behind you, helping to push your content, i feel like steem is, at the moment, not the right place.
And like in the "real" world, it also depends on the readerships. Why does a supermodel have way more followers on "Instragram" than exorbitant scientist? It is the rule of attraction (youtube has a great video about it, just "yougle"). One more example?! Sure, let us check out "introduceyourself", here a young beautiful woman and there a young man. I wont talk about the value of the post, but it seems to be clear that a lot more people have been attracted to her post.
Enough rambling, the rule of attraction is always a factor. You can research an article for days and put your soul in it, but always take a look at your audience.
I agree that you must have symbiotic support groups and invest in the system to advance on Steemit, no question. I am just pushing for those support groups, or "clans" as you call them, to have requisites for conscious, well documented, professional content from their members.
And yes it is true that with all else even, a cute girl will usually get more attention than a guy, however that is never the only factor at play on a platform like this. This is anything but Instagram.
i hope somebody is going to upvote our comments, or it will be dusty dust dust.
I honestly compare steemit atm with sometime like clash of clans. Investors are on the top and have the ability to grow way faster than we "plankton" can. Like i mentioned already somewhere else, i would definitly go a route like that heajin guy does, like 40/60 split between upvoting my own content and upvoting other content.
And no, but it is a factor! It influences your initial audience and can make your life here on steem harder or easier. Did you know about steepshot? Just to say, we really aren't instagram. Diversification is the thing i love on this platform
Why not just post a pic without having a % taken?
What do you mean? Sharing pictures via steepshot and don't get paid? or did you address something else, pretty unsure!
I have been seeing this infamous haejin, like he is either loved or detested. Who is he? Enlighten me, please.
i think he is a clever investor, bringing daily charts (5-10) and more or less shows possible patterns. he has a world full of SP, which made his votes 60$ heavy. Pretty unsure if it changed but he has a 95% selfupvoting. Don't like it, but to be really honest i don't mind it. He is playing the game. 18k$ the month is totally fine, since he invested a lot, which brings some attention to my point above!
Thank you. I was told there is nothing wrong with self upvoting as long as you get more than 0.03 for your self vote, otherwise it is just a dust. But I think I am beginning to understand now that concept of self voting where you reward yourself more rather than rewarding the person who owns the post.
There is nothing wrong with it in my opinion, but there should be a good ratio between both. Steem is a community thing so everyone should be as supportive as possible. Other reason might be the downvote festivals starting to kill your earnings
Yes, I agree. There should be a balance so that more minnows will be able to progress that they may be able to help other minnows in the future. Similar to the concept of food chain but here on Steemit, smaller fish need big fish to somehow survive through their upvotes.
Steemit can be treated like a game. Robots are not required but is a major factor in a aspect of the game. A common cheat code if you will. Steemit can be won without cheat codes!
Okay, so we need to talk something. He totally lost it in this design of comments , subcomments, even subbier comments and the subbiest comments. Right now, it is in my eyes, but a lot of good stuff is developed on the steem blockchain(steempay for example), which will it make more than a game.
