So I was brainstorming trying to think of ways to bring my friends and family on board to Steemit. I think the proof is in the pudding so to speak. I have 1,100 friends on Facebook. I decided to make the same post on both platforms and then screen shot what I earn on Steemit to prove what can be possible. Help me make this post blow up. Upvote, Resteem, and Follow and lets move one step closer to mass adoption.

I get the concept, but how hard do we really want to go out of our way to convince people. Not everybody gets in the garden of Eden
I think its good for everybody. More people get on board. The value of the coin & platform increases. Mainly I want the people I care about to benefit.

1,125 friends on Facebook = 0 comments. 93 followers on Steemit = 14 comments (half of them are mine) But you get the idea. I have noticed that Steemit doesn't appeal to the lowest common denominator internet user. Maybe @jonny-clearwater has a point.

I have been doing this on Facebook as well. Not posting the same thing, but sharing what I am making on Steemit compared to the zero I am making on Facebook. I have converted a few people over and working to get more. Up-voted!
Thanks man. I think the public attitude about cryptos in general is that its still Monopoly money. We need to bridge that gap and show real results. Also people think its an all or nothing idea. Its not. Don't go put all your $$ in crypto. Its just another vehicle for wealth.

Steemit is not going to be for everybody....it is not as user friendly right now as Facebook is...it does take some learning to figure out. I am on both platforms and do not expect the majority of my family to make the leap. But like minded peers....sure, I will introduce them to it. I share on FB pictures of my kids and family...things I can control the privacy of for the most part to my intended audience. Steemit - or the blockchain...as I have read, is always there, there is no erasing, or hiding any content you post. I feel like steemit is more of an intellectual community, an artistic community, not so much for sharing your kids first poop on the potty to complete strangers as sharing ideas and artistic thoughts and compositions with complete strangers...(even though we may get to know each other well over the internet) - So you may get some resistance @harleymechanix Steemit is not for everyone. And that is ok. It is not all about the $$$
Agreed. But Steemit is fairly new. I anticipate more polish and refinement as the platform progresses. It will get more user friendly. Now if you will excuse me I have to upload this video of my kids first poop. LOL Steem on!
I like the idea of comparing FB and Steemit. But Steemians are more engaging on posts. So I guess who wins.
No doubt Steemians are on a higher intellectual plane.
