Steemit is still in it's infancy, and a lot of tag's that intrest a sizable minority still don't get the love that's seen throughout other platforms.
Obviously Steemit is different to most of these platforms in a big way. Building sub-communities is a common trend in all social sites however, so it's bound to happen here.
I think as user numbers increase there will be more people to populate these groups. But it is up to us to start the process by making the gathering sights available.
I'm fairly new to Steemit, so maybe I just haven't looked hard enough. But I can't seem to find a self improvement discord channel. And the health chat channel is pretty baron :(
This seems to be a common trend among my other interests as well, other than writing and poetry. Do you feel the same way with what interests you?
If anyone can help me out here I'd really appreciate it. I made a Steemit Self Improvement Discord chat room. I think we should find a better way, individual servers isn't the best option. But I'm not the best when it comes to the different services that have to be ran to make things like this happen.
Anyway, here's to learning how to get involved with the Steemit community... Minnow life :D
All the best, harrynewman

You lovely whale! To all minnows, help improve your exposure when starting out with this service, it has done nothing but good things for me :)
Lol, talking to generous Mr. @randowhale.
I hear you, as more people join steemimt, these sub-communities will be created and will be more seen in the future. But we can start now. I think it's still the early stages of steemit. And we're lucky to have discovered this platform at its early stage.
Definitely, I can't wait to see what it becomes :)
nice post
Thank you man! I think as Steemit grows it will evolve a lot. Hopefully it get's better for everyone, and promotes success among all who use it :)
I agree with you that there is still much to be done to improve the level of engagement. But I don't know how it should all be done, it depends on the steemit members
I agree completely, I think it's a matter of waiting for enough people with similar interests to congregate, but it will also require someone to instigate the congregation haha
