It is very hard to determine what actually steemit and how it works , when we work hard as a worker and work for company give them alot of money they give us some profit share in the shape of salary it is called pure business or job. What is steem ?
Actually Steem is just a Coin like supply production some percentage of steem distributed through mining to mining farm owners and some and distributed by supporting steem coin .

Steem coin is supported by steem power when more and more people have steem power it will make sure steem market cap will be so high to earn money every one should have good steem power to earn more profit from post actually buying the steem power is directly holding a market cap which make more and more valueable to steem coin .
Holding steem coin may produce some benefits to coin owner they buy and sell hold make profit give us some share as a reward of our support to steem coin
What actually happen to buy steem coin we must have to buy btc and also more btc holders there sell btc buy steem will make steem valueable.
we should introduce steem to many more people so that people may leave btc become addicted to steem make profit from steem too.. So we cannot and should say steem a ponzi scheme it does not have a sense it is just a free giveaway not free but almost like free
I think Steem needs to make some serious adaptations on their protocol. Something more efficient need to be incorporated to prevent low-quality content making more money than high-quality content. Before this project goes mainstream.
That and do something with those bots. Very annoying.
If you read about how to improve your steemit status in the main guides, you will learn that bots have to always adapt to strive in the long term and only a very few of them (maybe none?) succeed in the long term.
