Slow and steady wins the race.
With Steemit that is especially true. When I first joined the site I was jazzed up, had dollar signs in my eyes and thought this will be easy.
It's not easy and after the first week goes by and you've posted constantly with little results it can be incredibly discouraging. There were times when I contemplated just throwing in the towel but I decided to keep going and see where it leads me.
Since then I haven't had any big posts that have garnered much attention or made any big money off anything but I've enjoyed the comments from the ones that have commented and I've had a few great conversations with other members of the site. Then when you do get an upvote from someone that bumps you up a couple dollars on a post it's like you won the lottery. You feel so much appreciation and it gives you the motivation to continue on.
The best thing that I can say to all the new users of Steemit is to give it at least a month of consistent writing, trying different things, try conversing with people and reading as much as you can and become part of the fabric of the community and you'll find the will to hang in there until your Steem Power rises and you feel like you're contributing and your voice is worthwhile.
This is very true
It can be hard to digest everything at first when you join this site. There's so much going on and you don't even know where to start. I still don't fully understand everything but I find things are starting to come around for me.
cute images :))
Aww good post
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Thanks a lot. This post has motivated me.
Glad to hear. That's what it's all about on here. Boosting morale haha.
