Why I Delegated a Portion of my already small STEEM POWER to MinnowSupport

in #steemit8 years ago

I started on steemit about 2 weeks ago. It has been a blast but after the initial excitement, things died down and I noticed I wasn't getting very much $$$ for the articles I was posting which I was ok with but I was confused and I reached out to the group at @minnowsupportproject and asked a lot of questions and they were quick to answer, quite helpful and welcoming.

I received a lot of good advice and words of encouragement from @discordiant and @brunotreves and have nothing but good things to say about everyone at discord. I haven't noticed a huge improvement in my post values yet but I also feel I enjoy just writing the content more now and keeping friendly with people I meet and commenting on posts I like. I have definitely had more upvotes since joining.

I have also been really impressed with the actions of @joeyrocketfilms and the time and SP he's donated. The work he's doing to support @minnowtowhale and @minnowsupportproject and he's putting his money where his mouth is by donating his SP. It's always inspiring seeing the work @aggroed is doing and still finding the time to make new posts.

If you're interested in joining Minnow Support or @minnowtowhale I recommend these articles:

Hello, I joined steemit yesterday, really I want to grow my fanbase/followers and more importantly make money, but my problem is getting content. Any guide or help? Thanks in advance

Just got away from my computer but I can send you some links in the morning. Honestly the best thing to do is just start writing about what you enjoy. If your enthusiastic about it other peoole will be too. Once you start writing it will start flowing more quickly.

Ok. Just that am not good at creative writing, infact not a writer at all. But will wait for your links thou. Thanks

Doesn't have to be creative writing. Try listing your 10 favorite books or movies or video games. Try writing about your favorite player on your favorite team. Things like that are good to start with. Although I'm pretty new here too so I could use some links too haha

But I believe once can get content from a different source tweak and steem. Like from a football fan page.

It's kind of frowned upon to copy and past but yes you could reinterpret an interesting article or story if you give credit where due.

Good reference material

STEEM On !!
