Beating The R.C. Blues
The Steemit community is truly filled with generosity. That has become even more evident in the face of the new challenges brought on by the latest hard fork. As many new users have found themselves unable to even comment these generous projects are even more necessary. Also the smaller accounts may be much harder to find if they are unable to comment enough to make themselves seen. If you are one of these smaller accounts please do reach out. There are many people who are willing to try and help.
Here is my top 4 picks of projects that will help you grow.
Red Fish Rocket League
This one is first because there is a deadline to enter. New redfish are being considered this week. So if you have less than 75 sp get over there and apply for this delegation.
I can't emphasize enough how much of a help this was all around. It is much more than just an 8 week loan of SP. The requirements to qualify for and keep the delegation will go a long way toward pushing the chosen redfish up the ranks and closer to minnow.
First on the list is @simplymike and her
I was fortunate enough to be chosen in the 2nd round of the redfish rockets. Along with @buckaroo, @cicisaja, @tryskele. The four of us to this day are keeping up with each other. We continue to push, pull, and encourage one another along to being minnow.
Building Minnows
update post Gives an idea how it works.
Even if you do not enter the challenge to feature two bloggers each week there is still room to get involved. Visit and support a couple of features each week, or pay a visit to the sponsors or judges.
Everyone involved is dedicated to being as much help as possible to smaller accounts.
Next up is a project brought to you by @thedarkhorse and @pifc called @minnowbuilder. Their latest
If you have under 450 sp post good quality content and need some extra votes the minnow builder project may be able to help. If you are chosen to be on one of the @minnowbuilder list you will receive daily upvotes until you reach 500sp.
While you are at it getting involved with the @pifc community is a huge help. The community tends to stick together and help each other to grow wherever possible.
Force Feeding
The latest post can be found here you need to have 450 sp to be considered. The community come together on this one to send enough steem to your wallet to put you at 500.
They are doing at least one person per week right now, and are always on the lookout for next week's minnow.
So you are almost there? Need help with the last bit of Steem to get to 500? Then @hitmeasap has a minnow making project to give the last little push.
Engagement Leagues
Curation and Engagement Leagues each week but also will often hand out very helpful little charts and graphs with info about your account.
This week he is giving out a huge delegation of 1000 sp for 1 month to a lucky winner who used the most "kindness" words from his list during Sep. The beauty of this one is if you win you are allows to share the prize with someone else.
He has indicated the contest will run again in the future. It really is worth keeping an eye on that one. Especially since you and a friend could be minnow for a month.
I have also noticed that the above mentioned accounts often resteem opportunities. So what do you do with those RC credits? @abh12345 not only hosts the
If you know someone who qualifies for one of these projects please do spread the word. If you know of other similar programs leave a comment. Maybe we can bring together the people who need the help with those who have it to give.
I have also noticed that the above mentioned accounts often resteem opportunities. So even if you lack the resources to comment or resteem you can watch for something that may be the right fit for you.
And don't forget @paulag's Red Fish Power-up league :D

Very good one!! Thank you
These are great @headchange :) Nice of you to let everyone know about them ... the latest HF certainly added a negative twist to many in terms of the lasting power they now have.
They are all things that have helped me a great deal. I do kind of wonder if it will grow increasingly harder to even find the small accounts if they are not commenting much. I suppose we shall see.
Did you see davemccoy's latest post about it? It doesn't look to promising for new folks.
Oh yeah who could miss that one. If there is anyone always ready to go to bat for the little guy it is Dave. Asher also has an interesting post on obtaining accounts. I do think the game is changing up a lot but could still come out ok if we stick together. Maybe it is just a matter of learning how to play a new game.
I feel very lucky to not be just starting out right now.
My daughter is a perfect example. Her account remains untouched. It likely will stay that way unless I get her set up with one of the dapps that she would use. Lets just say her posts will never meet the quality content requirements for pifc ;)
She may do alright by linking her instagram account and earn a little steem. I am wondering if there could be a whole new generation of Steemit users like her?
I myself am in way too deep to back out and go that route. I didn't even realise it until yesterday.
I did see Asher's post but decided not to go that route; I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing and see how everything goes over the next couple of months.
That's interesting about your daughter and yeah, I guess that could be the "next generation" of steemians.
The game is definitely changing!

and I adopt planktons and minnows weekly too! :D
Awesome!! Thanks for the reminder. I am going to put a link right here
That way maybe someone will want to check it out. I have been thinking a list of these helpful projects may not be a bad idea. I mean a list updated maybe once a month or something.
If I do one for Nov. I will add your project for sure.
Thanks! There's a lot of community projects to help little fishes!
Another fun project to promote growth

Great information @headchange. I think I may be using up my daily bandwidth (or whatever it's being called now) but I'll look into a few of these as I definitely qualify for some growth help.
Great!! you would probably be an excellent candidate for the minnow builder program. I will try to collect more of these type projects and make a monthly post. In the mean time feel free to add anything you come across in the comments.
Seems like there are a lot of things available to help with growth, just a matter of finding the right fit.
One of my biggest challenges right now is that when I first started on Steemit we had just moved into our travel trailer and were not working outside of our own business. I was engaging, posting and growing regularly and then had some periods of non-involvement and this has somewhat stunted my growth. So many things changed as well. I recently powered up (measly would be the best adjective to describe my power up process) so that should help me a bit.
Still paying it forward @headchange! Well written and yes, I've also had the honour of growing thanks to the different initiatives and generous steemians. Been a great journey meeting some real sweet peeps - like you! It's been a long time. I took a necessary although unplanned long leave of absence but came back with a bang this past week. How are you?
Honestly I have had trouble getting back into the swing of things since the fork. I guess a break in the routine is not a great thing for me. I am still keeping up with the pifc but not a lot else hope to settle back into a more regular routine soon.
How are the babies doing? I have been meaning to come over and check for updates.
A new source of vote-aid is @dustbunny, it is run by a long time steemian, supported by a long time steemian and is free. He will help with the below dust level votes on post and comments. So if you make a post and you have a vote or two and it still does not hit payout level he will come to you aid and provide a vote. He doesn't have a real rules, and he will also help with comment votes. both your outgoing and incoming votes. So if your vote even at 100% is less than a dust level vote he will come behind and back your vote up. He understands, as I do, that sometimes people feel a need to not only recognize a comment with their words, but also with an action. Visit his page leave a comment, ask him what it is about or just leave a simple comment that someone referred his post, name drop if you want or not. It is free so really nothing to lose, and last time I looked he was still looking for more people to help, let him know you would like the support. It is a very generous act on his part.
