RE: Steemit – We Need To Talk

in #steemit7 years ago

I understand what you are saying but let's face it Facebook does not pay anything. Youtube unless you have a massive following does not either. In Steemit, its kinda like winning the lotto, similar to Bitcoin mining. Many times post don't earn what they probably should but sometimes they get upvoted like crazy and have big payouts - Jackpot! I am not a huge blogger myself (I am Steem Investor) but I posted on here enough times to know what's its like to put in a lot of time and work into a post and no one notices. I'd say break your post into a series, like 1 of 5 or 10. Use great graphics, simple words. Don't worry about spelling errors, no one really cares that much here. Focus on big ideas. Post often and have a very longterm outlook. I think the key is building a big follow. Preferably with at least some Whales. A lot people on here really like Liberty and very open minded. Much more than other Social Media places. Pretty much everyone on here loves Crypto. However, I have seen many post getting serious payouts that have nothing to do with Crypto. The Steem Demographics are changing and the development is bright. SMT's will be another way very soon to try other eco-systems built on Steem.

Great points. I've definitely invested more into developing my connections with other Steemians than anything else. I meant what I said – they're the reason I'm here.

As for other platforms – quite frankly, since joining Steemit, I very rarely log onto any of them. I don't see much point. Perhaps I should be thinking more about protecting my modest followings, but...I kind of can't be bothered.

Thanks for reading.

Yes, I only use FB to promote Steemit. heheh.
