Hiiii Steemit!
I'm definitly not the first Steemian to have big dreams. And I'm sure I'm not the first Steemian to decide to use Steemit in order to take steps closer to the realization of those dreams.
Before my children and I became homeless, we had a wonderful home. We had a little cabin in the forest, 7 acres of wooded land and we were close enough to the lake that on fall nights we could hear #GitchiGami carving the shore.
We had an organic garden and the most adorable hens and roosters. They were pets. Beloved family members instead of "live stock".
They were my babies. Of course, moving into a camper we had to give them up. Even Mojo Jojo.
And my precious Fluffy. House chicken, boss hen, dominator of puppy dogs and lover of grapes.
We shared our garden with our chickens, who happened to love tomatoes. And the local wildlife.
We were borrowing their land, afterall.
We worked hard, played hard and had extremely tight family ties. The children were homeschooled. My boy in Mattavi classes, the girls in dance. We meditated daily and practiced reading and writing together.
We made time for whimsy. Making beach art, and attending craft classes. Meeting the neighbors and babysitting an elderly neighbor's dog. And the hiking. Oh! The hiking! You could get lost on those trails. And we did. Literally! Search and rescue saved us. 😱
But, obviously, that land wasn't ours, so it didn't last.
Okay... So that got a little long, but it explains my dream.
My intent is to save all funds made by my Steemit account from here on out. The only withdrawls I will make will be for personal emergencies, or for donations toward worthy causes.
Half of what I earn will go to Steem and accumulate. The other half will go into Steem Power, so my upvote will continue to help other Steemians as I go along.
My dream? I want to find a patch of land of our own. Somewhere between where we are now, and the home of my heart.
All funds earned from Steem will go toward achieving this goal. We will have an organic garden again some day. We will have sweet little hennies and roos to love. We will offer sanctuary to roos that people would otherwise stick in a pot.
We will help our community and be able to participate in the #foodisfreeproject. We would open our space to local homeschoolers. And our home would be green. A solar powered #Earthship would be ideal!
I know to some it sounds like a pipe dream. But I want it bad. I've accepted more hours at work and will be putting the extra wages earned into savings as well.
Along the way I want to help build other Steemians up, as you have helped build me up. The Steemit community has done so much for my little family, and I want to pay it forward!
I will update now and then as we go along, I don't care if it takes a decade. I don't care if it takes three decades. This WILL happen for my family.

Hey, I'm willing to do anything I can to help you achieve this dream. It sounds pretty wonderful.
One thing that might help these posts take off and get you onto curating boosts like Curie would be to organize the tags on your posts, by the way. A lot of your posts are only showing up if I look for them because you're putting tags on them that aren't frequently used. If you look at the panel of trending tags on the left of your home feed, there's a place down at the bottom of the tag list where you can click to see a list of all trending tags. If you scroll through these, you can see how many people are posting things to the different tags and get an idea where your posts would best fit and get the most eyes on them. It's something people like the Curie curators look at when they're searching for good articles to give a nice booster upvote.
I hope this helps! I REALLY hope you continue to post and do so well, because that cabin on the land is a wonderful dream.

You've done an incredible amount in a short time, all things considered! I have an advantage because my husband spends a lot more time than I do on Steemit and will be reading things to me while I'm doing other stuff, which is where I learned a lot about tags and how they work. I have no idea how you're able to post like you do with everything on your plate. :-)

This is such an awesome goal! Those chickens are too fantastic, I want to have chickens one day.
I hike a lot, and I am seriously terrified of getting lost and having to have search and rescue come find me.
I never hike alone for that, and many other, reasons.

Keep going and be happy about every step you might take, even if it will go a few steps in a wrong direction. At the end you realize, there is also a reason or lesson behind it for yourself to understand yourself as your life.
