Official Steemit Twitter Account Update for February.

in #steemit8 years ago

These are the Numbers for the Official @Steemit Twitter Account for February.

Translating the Numbers.

In mid January the team decided that we would no longer use the RSS feeds for Twitter syndication. So we have opted to curate the articles instead. As you can see the amount of Tweets in January was 1606 and dropped to 735 in February. That is a 45% reduction in tweets. Impressions actually stayed stable at around 3.5 million per month. Impressions mean the amount of users who saw the tweets. Followers continue to increase and in the next few days we will pass the 10,000 follower mark.

The only way to increase mentions is if the community tweets their content and includes the @Steemit Twitter handle in the tweet.

Wow! And I don't even have a twitter account! Amazing.

Congratulations that tweet rocked!

I always tweet my blog on steemit. Actually, I had my twitter account for years now but just activated it again when I started steemit.

Keep it up, as long as you mention @Steemit I will Retweet if it is appropriate. We have to be careful on the official account.

I just went on a following spree on Twitter. :D
Hmm... I think my mistake has been that I've been adding the hashtag and not the @ when I share a post on Twitter. I guess I'll have to do both in the future.

Yes, when you use the @Steemit I see it.

I'm completely blown away by your gif's Randy!

I really appreciate that!! Feel free to use them yourself.

Yeah - awesome work you do, are you also handling steemit Google+ channel my friend @hilarski?

Yup, check Pinterest as well.

cool - Pinterest is one of the social mysteries still to me

Great for SEO, similar to Google Plus in that respect.

ok, know about Google+ but was not aware of Pinterest - thanks for the advise

Is this linked to the G+ and FB accounts? It's all good extra exposure. I tag them when I mention Steemit

I share to the Gplus and Pinterest. I also share to FB once in a while but I was told to do it sparingly and to stick to Steemit themed posts there.

Is it really 3.5 millions clicks on steemit links?

No, that would be impressions. We average 120 clicks per day currently.

It seems like I read the post to fast. I upvoted. I feel like this post should have received more love. Anyway keep up the good work Randy!
