I love how you put whiners to its place... it really doesn't help newbies like me seeing those complaints. I have just been here in steemit for just over 24 hours, so I need to see some love and not whining. I love to grow my connections here so please follow @arnel Thank you all positive people! By the way upvoted and followed you @hilarski

Yup, I followed you earlier today. Keep up the good work. Post, engage, rinse and repeat.

Thank you, I appreciate it, looking forward to see and interact to more of your posts here in steemit.

I thrive on positivity!

You and I both! I sit back and laugh at all these people who act like this.

In response,

@hilarski

I would love adding her crew. I would send her team trailing all the sociopsychopaths and ringing the bell while yelling at them: "Shame (bell rings.) Shame (bell rings.)..."

Thank you,

Well said @steevc!

Great post Randy!

Money makes people stupid. NEVER FORGET IT!

Wise words good sir.

Truth. There will always be whiners and complainers. And they will want to know why YOU-- who have worked tirelessly for a year and have published the equivalent of a couple of books-- should have more benefits and rewards than they just got for posting "My cat just farted."

I prefer to just focus on what we can do-- individually, and collectively-- to educate people in the direction of wanting to be self-aware and personally accountable... rather than self-servingly sheepish.

Nailed it!
Personal accountability and progressive self-awareness are rare indeed. When you find those unicorns 🦄 keep them in your life for the rest of yours.
That being said, do you have a link to the cat farting clip?
😉
@scan0017 🤝

hmm.. in the short period I'm here I actually whittnessed the issue other way around. I don't really know what "whiners" OP is talking about, but I was shocked to see that some cat fart memes got more views and votes than serious topics and journalistic content. But hey, I'm not complaining... way to soon to do so anyway ;)

Dam Straight! This is what happens when people take sides on here.

DAMN!!!

LOL! If people spent more time on solving problems as opposed to complaining the world would be a better place. Like I always say: If you don't like it don't use it. If it bothers u change it.

Lmao. I laughed so hard on that one that my stomach is hurting 😂😂

Hey - the post I agree with. The passage you referenced from 48 Laws of Power is a good one. However, I can say I own that book and I never read the whole thing because halfway through it I felt like most of the practices were manipulative. Books like Think and Grow Rich are more my taste I suppose. To each their own, right? That mindset is my Switzerland. :-)

Reading and putting into practice are two different things. I agree not all the ideas are ethical pertaining to my life as well. This one in particular is awesome.

Yes, like I said - I agree.

not sure who is whinning. admittedly i didn't watch your vide0, was hoping you would write out what was on your mind, but i dont see the problem. Quite the opposite, i see euphoria with the recent price rise and alot more activity on the steemit community.

what are your views on global warming
abortion
and
child abuse?

I choose not to discuss things like that because they are polarizing.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

This is what your comment looks like on this post.

AWESOME
good balance

You guys are funny.

Great choice :D

Nice post which I mostly agree with. But, as some of the comments have mentioned here, I also want to see the world improve and sometimes that involves taking a stand against behavior which decreases wellbeing.

The "You People are so Petty and Tiny" video illustrates the point well. It's literally being said by a god. He's not in any way threatened by the status quo or the issues of mere mortals. Those who are high up Maslow's Hierarchy like you and I can rise above the petty quarrels of those on the bottom rungs. Most, unfortunately, aren't so lucky. Given the philosophical veil of ignorance and materialistic determinism, we could have been those unfortunates who get victimized. We'd want the "gods" to help us and not be neutral.

Now, given the context of Steemit, maybe all of that isn't really relevant here. No one is being physically harmed. Some are being mentally harmed (I've seen it many times) via verbal abuse and actions which intend to cause harm. Maybe not as serious as physical violence, but still concerning for those who are affected.

I must say, I commend your ability to stay neutral and rise above the pettiness (which I agree, makes up for most of the "drama" on Steemit). I'd also argue the world of the future is shaped by those who take a stand for what is philosophically ethical in defense of those who can't effectively defend themselves. Taking a stand may be costly on a personal level, but on the long enough timescale, it benefits everyone.

Well said Luke, no problem with taking a stand. This post was regarding Steemit only. I see the way people are treated and it is upsetting sometimes but I sit back and let it play itself out. It has been working out pretty well so far for the community.

It has for some, but not others. Early on, I tried helping some people who were being abused. That's before the mute function worked. I'm sensitive to those with mental health challenges because a lot of my colleagues in the software industry deal with it on a regular basis (thankfully, some of my friends are helping as well). It's difficult for those who don't feel the physical symptoms of mental oppression to fully understand. I certainly don't, but i'm working to listen better to those who do. Some people, I think, shouldn't be on social media or Steemit because they are not in a mental state to do so safely. We can't take responsibility for everyone, but I also think we should do what we can when we see injustice right in front of us. Sometimes it plays itself out well because of others taking action (and the negative consequences that often come with it).

#4 exactly. It sounded like you were describing facebook. Haha

I tend to be a giver, i help and support the people around me but there are some who are a lost cause, even how much pity i may have i know that investing my time/ energy on them will only drain me.

Anyone who does not see the value of STEEMIT has lost his mind, comparing this to FB's beginning shows the room for growth here is beyond comprehension. This will grow then the people who regret it will say, I WAS apart of that, cant believe I lost out. BUT noone will care then, and your IF's wont mean anything. JUST go with the flow and see the potential grow. :)

I agree keeping things positive as we work together to improve. You're a real blessing to this platform @hilarski!

I just focus on the positive! The best food for my mind.

Good job, I love how you put bullies into place. It really does not help beginners like me see the complaint.

I remember seeing an article comparing complaining to second hand smoke. I thought that was a great comparison and I believe complaining is just as toxic. Oh wait are we complaining about complainers! doh

I can be a whiner myself, but only to people closest to me to blow off steem. In public, I try to stay positive. It does not help any of us to spread negativity!

Yep, Steemit is a great opportunity for us all so

Muy acertado tu artículo. Estoy muy de acuerdo! Gracias!
Very successful your article. I totally agree! Thank you!

What I apply with the whiners is neutrality and ignorance, the latter in the sense of "I respect your opinion, but I don't give a damn about it".

I love this approach!

"Humor is something that makes you think without being aware"

And yet.. I haven't succeeded finding the "Humor" tag on this post!!

So, as for being aware goes, further, I guess I will jump on @lukestokes, @kyriacos, @tarazkp, @everittdmickey, @oluwoleolaide and @sisyphus bandwagon comments so far. Uhmm yeah, ¡I'm afraid! :)

Therefore my esteemed hillarsky, it is clear you won't arrive anywhere far if You simply sit back and let the things play itself out!! This action might return to you to pay back at some time, in a worse mood, nevertheless.

I suppose that everyone here, who somehow participate in a crowded enough community or society, with multiple and varied interests, goals, needs and hardships, In fact, it seems quite difficult to feel feeded and nourished with the views and experiences of others all the time.
¿But are you aware that you will never achieve a truly Thought for Food healthy diet if you are not willing to look at things from a different perspective and standpoint in life?

That's precisely the behavior that has really screwed up the human species on this planet. IMHO.

On other hand...
Since this has been a really short article, compared to the ones that are usually posted by @hilarski and the fact that he at least put the drama tag on it. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and I will leave the things at that in my appreciation about his failed attempt to be humorous on this post. However, not without first reminding everyone of you the following:

Do not rush a lot in judging anyone. And never forget, that to really find nutritious food for thought, mind and soul to healthy nourish our judgment and enlightenment and especially in the quest for a correct and balanced diet and healthier existence.
There is no way out but also EAT the plentiful Thoughts for Food out there, served to us daily in a succulent tasty banquet style.. ¡From The Other Side Of The Fence! :)

Read the Book. More or less it sais "How to be an effective psychopath".

Its easy not to complain when you are all set up. It is also easy to bash on others when you are all set up. It sais so in the book. If you follow what the book sais really you effectively become an empty shell of hypocrisy that treats others like tools.

If you say to people that you are treating them much like the books outlines they will crucify you. How does that make you feel about who you are and your purpose on this planet?

There will always be those who want to burn the village down. I am not one of them, never have been and never will be.

That does not change the fact about you being aware of a given situation. You can't just use and abuse people and respond with "Well, there is always to be suffering in the world".

Those kind of books are not very...enriching really. Literally every single dictator, every living, breathing asshole that has lived, used those techniques. If you are to be intellectually honest then you have to outline to the people you engage with the tactics of that book. That takes balls. Anything else is hypocrisy and your demise can come at any moment once people realize this.

When for example someone asks you, your opinion about something and you respond "These topics are polarizing so I am not engaging" you are actively admitting that you don't care about the people with whom you interact with, what they believe, what their views are, and rather use them in your marketing plot to make money out of them. You don't care for them as people to have "real interaction" bur rather you see them as specifics assets for a specific purpose.

You see, many people read these books and many people are always a step ahead from those who chose to use techniques from books that look like they have been written by an angry teenager.

The status quo is encouraged by those that already benefit from it. The village need not be burned down necessarily but ostracising those that question the town planning reduces dynamic and beneficial growth for all. Listening to criticism and swimming in the miseries of others are two very different things.

Point no. 6..
The Universal Truth :)

Being a Switzerland like your #1 is not cool to me.Cos that's all the stolen resources of Niger Is taken to and they did nothing about it.One late General syphooned the entire budget of like two decades and stored it there.

That makes no sense in the context of this post.

Really?.....i just reacted to be like Switzerland man.Nothing is senseless in what i just chipped in if you consider a country like Switzerland an Example to emulate!

Be careful, positivism is merely a cult for those who do not have the character or ability to face truth.

Or for those who want to be successful on a platform that saves the entirety of your comments and blog posts.

Success is not measured by the amount of times you appear to smile.
