"What Should I Do To Get More Followers?"
This is a common question I get. I often answer these questions with the pretty "standard" phrase like so many others.
Effort. Time. Consistency.
I still claim this to be accurate but I want to show you that these answers are accurate and truthful, and that's the reason for this article. I wrote an article three days ago. [HITMEASAP NEWS!] ✔Weekly Report Is Back! | ✔Growth & Process+Asapers. I shared my growth both visually and in text and this article is just another proof that will show you that these few words works flawlessly.

Today:
If you read my previous article you'll see this:
The thing that is really important here, to me, is that my results are still positive and continue to be positive. To gain ~6 new followers per day is amazing and I would've been satisfied with far less than that. And why do I think this is so important?
Because that is solid and concrete evidence and proof that you can afford to be less active from time to time, without ruining your chances of growth. Even though I have been less active and published less articles, I still grow my account in terms of followers.
I still get followers based on the time I have spent. It's not only about the time I need to spend to build a following. I also get followers from my old content, which is a huge bonus for my overall growth.
So, even though I had been less active, I still gained ~6 new followers per day. All due to the time I have spent and all the things I have done during my time on Steemit.
Judging by the screenshots above you can see that I've gained 38 new followers in 3 days, which gives me a daily average of 12.66.
(38/2 = 12.66)
That means that I've been able to gain more than 6 new followers extra per day since that report.
(6+6=12)
However, I have also published 2 articles since the latest report, and by doing that, I have been able to gain more followers as I've got more exposure and visibility from those publications. The best part of it is that everything happens naturally and automatically.
With that being said, I know that I will grow my following by being active and publish articles. But it will obviously work with comments too. Which many people doesn't seem to acknowledge as a good approach to generate followers.
You can also see that I've written 19 comments(including the 2 articles) since my latest numbers, so even though I might have replied to comments on my own articles or if I comment on other authors articles, I still get more exposure and visibility... Hence, more followers.
Active = Growth!
Imagine this:
You find a new amazing, talented author who seems really cool. You love the article you've just read and you decide to comment.
Eager to hear back from the author, as you would love to get more details about this certain topic or you're interested to hear his opinions and ideas on the questions you have...
- And the author ignores you.
What do you think will happen?
- What would you do?
Most people would give it another shot, perhaps once or twice, but if this author still ignored them, they would unfollow and look for someone else to interact with. - That's one of the most important things in terms of growth. Be active and respond to the questions and comments you get.
By doing that, you'll ensure that the followers you have will continue to follow you and you'll get new followers... Hence, a larger audience.
Time Is Key.
You can't just say that you've spent 10 hours on Steemit for the past 11 weeks without results... What you do with the time you spend is crucial for any type of positive result.
If you're active and spend time doing things properly, you will get positive results. I'm up to 12+ new followers per day for these last 3 days... So it's crystal clear that I generate more by being active.
The best way to contact me is by comments on my articles or on Discord
Please understand that I might not be able to respond immediately, even though my name includes "asap". I do have a life outside of Steemit and the @asapers, and I often get multiple messages each day so it might take some time for me to respond. Feel free to message me again if you haven't heard anything in a few hours or a day.
Awesome points as usual @hitmeasap. I really do try to reply to every comment someone leaves me and I think that encourages them to keep on commenting on my posts. Engagement is key on Steemit, you could be an amazing blogger but if you dont make connections here on Steemit no one is going to see your posts.
Exactly!
Truth is, that many established Steemians seems to ignore the "social" part of Steemit, and I guess they "forget" to respond because they already have a decent following and good support in terms of rewards.
Yea, I have noticed that too. :(
Really good post! I totally agree with you! To me as a followers is truly annoying when you take your time to read and comment a good post and the author doesn't care at all!
It is important to always respond your comments because you growth thanks to your followers!!
I wish one day I could be like you and have a Lot of followers! now I am your 2783 follower congratulations :)
Thank you very much, I appreciate the support! :)
I can totally understand that some authors just can't keep up with all the comments they get. And truth to be told, it wouldn't be efficent to respond to each comment you get if you got 100 comments or whatever. That would literally be impossible.
However, there are many well-established authors who doesn't seem to care about their audience at all. No replies and not even a low percentage upvote on most of the comments they get... Such behaviour is just plain stupid if you ask me.
Yeah man! You are right, I understand that is impossible to answer 100 comments jejeje I din't see it like that!.....but there is a few of authors that can replie but they just don't care and are truly stupid!
Thanks for not been one of them!
No worries, I've never been like that and never will. :)
You just said it all... Nice comment
Thanks man
The best way to sum up this article is like this:
Who is going to be more successful?
-Insert favorite sport here-
Someone who's trained in it for five days, five months, five years, or five decades?
getting that many followers a day is super cool! it's the best reward for your heart and the certainty of doing a good job, even though I don't speak english I feel that many people follow me with the same language and that's fun... I hope to keep taking your tips to grow in this platform
Thank you very much for your comment, I appreciate it. I'm not native in English either, so I can definitely relate to some of the struggles.
Excellent article. But, it seems to me that the number of people that follow you is equal to the number of followers. Good luck to you and Love.
Thank you for the comment, I appreciate it. However, I didn't really understand what you meant by it.. :D
:)
I agree with you!
The key in steemit is to really put our time in here and make good quality comments and posts.
That's it.
The rate of increase in your followers is crazy man, congratulations for that!
Thank you very much. Yeah it feels awesome, and a bit surrealistic actually. But I am truly grateful to all my readers and followers. :)
It's all excellent! I've been here quite recently, but there are some thoughts. It seems to me that the functional part in the subscribers section does not work as it requires. I do not see what my fresh friends are publishing. And they do not see. If they do not enter the New section. It is necessary to bring the functional code .... to the form, at least as if on YouTube, I immediately see the publication of my friends, without unnecessary gestures. A friend of mine called Steemit the killer of Youtube ..... I agree, but the constant problems with downloading the video will not lead to a massive transfer of people from Youtube to Steemit. Most of the files are huge, and today, I can not upload video even 20 MB. This post is not a criticism, it's a wish to see Steemet as a TERMINATOR))) It will be so, there will be a lot of followers from Youtube. Only I have three channels.
Are you trying to upload a youtube video directly in your posts, or are you talking about something else here? I mean, it's pretty easy to just link to a youtube video in your articles, and it should show up without any issues at all.
Thanks for the response. I'm trying to download a video on D.Tube and this is the problem. I want to eventually completely leave with YouTube.
So you're trying to upload a video to d.tube? - So you can publish videos on dtube instead of youtube?
Of course. All the videos in my blog are copyright, on them I and my family, our hobbies, I do not upload other people's content. I transferred some of the video on D.Tube from my channels with Yutub, the last video I published only on D.Tube, but recently I encountered the problem of downloading.
Good post @hitmeasap
Thank you.
