Fellow Steemians..
There's no secret that we gain a lot of new users each day. Tons of people are signing up, trying to sign up and tons of people start to publish their posts immediately. - They build their followings, they put in tons of effort to increase their credibility and many of the users are doing everything they can to become successful.
These things takes time.
Yesterday, I reached 600 followers and I must say, in all honesty, I haven't been too active commenting on other people's content. I curate (vote on content) but I haven't been maximizing my own results.. - Recently, I started to focus more on these things, not only for my own benefits but also to increase the experience for other Steemians as well.
That being said..
Success on Steemit, just like in any other business, takes time, hard work and a lot of effort. - But it's possible. Even if you're not native in English. Take it from me, I'm from Sweden.
We have several amazing Steemians out there doing whatever they can to help all of us, especially new users. - @aggroed and @ausbitbank are two of them. @teamsteem another one. - All of them are working hard to improve the experience for everyone. They Resteem content so they can increase authors exposure, they publish inspiring stories and articles filled with tips, tricks and what they've been doing themselves to reach their results. - Not only that, they also upvote and comment on people's articles to encourage and motivate others too. - They work hard to improve the Steemit experience for everyone.
- Check out the #minnowsupportproject. A project which is very encouraging and focus entirely on minnows.
If you haven't already, make sure to follow all of them, including tons of others I won't mention. I can't mention everyone as this post would be literally 300 pages long if I did. - Sorry if I didn't mention you, but you know that you're awesome. - I go with the 3 people who've inspired me the most recently.
Also, don't forget to vote for them for witness.
What I do..
I share knowledge, experience and my own journey on steemit but also off-site. I write articles and publish them on other places to increase visibility. I want more people to join Steemit and I personally feel that I definitely pull my own weight. - I also share short Steemit intros which everyone could use in their own creations.. And I always strive to encourage, motivate and inspire my own readers. At all times.
Several people have asked me:
Why are you doing all these things when you're not even THAT successful on Steemit yourself?
And here's what I usually tell them..
The rewards I get are way bigger than money.
Steemit is more than money. Steemit is something ground breaking, innovative, fun, cool and awesome at the same time.. - We, us Steemians, are making this place into something beautiful together. - And don't get me wrong, money means a lot and I appreciate every single cent I make..
- And truth to be told, I truly wish I'd be able to become a full time Steemian.
However, I'm still here and I've gone from $500+ posts down to $0,50.. And up to $5 or $15 again.. - I don't have steady results. - But I do have the will to become an established Steemian that will have steady results. - That's my personal goal. - To become a full time Steemian.
That's why I've given away SBD for STEEMFEST2 Travel Fund, for personal causes ( @darthnava ) and I spend literally 10+ hours on Steemit each day. I upvote articles & interact with others, to improve their experience.. - And by doing that, I improve the Steemit experience for everyone. - I also give away SBD to my readers to encourage them, motivate them but also to show my appreciation for their replies on my articles. - I am truly grateful to each and every one of my followers, and I wouldn't have this much fun without you.
I know I can't do much by myself.. But I can do something. And that's what I'm trying to do. For you, me and for everyone. - Just recently I even started to use @randowhale's upvote-service to spread some more love ($ rewards) on other people's content. - And I will continue to do so.
I will most likely also use @officialfuzzy's whaleshares initiative in the nearest future, to increase the earnings and to "sprinkle some fairy dust" on even more people. - I want people to feel welcome here. I want them to be motivated and I want people to have fun. - I want people to shine.
I always strive to help my fellow Steemian. - "That's why way of the ninja!" (My way to improve the Steemit experience for everyone).
Expectations..
I know the road seems long and bumpy.. And I won't lie. It often is. For most of you, it will feel almost impossible to reap these insane rewards you've seen.. But never assume you'll get something for the things you do. Expect nothing. - That's when you'll be able to reap the most rewards. When you least expect it. - That's when the magic happens!
- Until then..
Continue to be awesome. Continue to put in tons of effort and continue to work hard.
If you haven't read them already, I'll share some of my previous posts:
