I never understood why some people bid high at the last minute, and ruin the party for everyone. I mean its simple math, that if you bid more, the less everyone gets overall, even yourself. For example, if the total upvote worth is $100, and the total bids were $40. Now if you bid $10, you get 2x profit (I am ignoring curation rewards at the moment), but if you bid $60 instead, you just get 1x. Are those high bidders so dumb not to understand this basic math? Secondly, I see some bots deliberately hanging at 100% when they do not have enough bids, waiting for further bids to come. That is clearly cheating in my opinion.

Hi, thanks for reading the post. I agree, I will not say is intentional in many cases, but most users do not know how it works. There are also a lot, who do not even use the bot tracker, they just send the same amount to all the bots they know at the same, time. Yesterday I saw that with a 40 SBD bid which ruined a green round.
I wish I had more to invest in promoting this particular post to raise awareness, there are many posts on the Bots but did not see much about how not to use them.
About the ones hanging, I am not sure what is going on, I see that from the Whales, like @Jerrybanfied, @Boomerang, and the ones alike. My "let's not be too negative" view, is that maybe is a lag on the timing for processing the last minute bids, generally due to this delay, you also go from green to red in a matter of seconds. Some people keep bidding while the timer is on 0. The other option is that they do it deliberately to have a higher return on their votes.
Also, to be aware that we are feeding users who will be even more prominent in the future, @JerryBanfield use a lot of the profit for delegation, but others I am not sure of other intentions.
I would personally love to be coding savvy and create a bot that stops processing bids once the 3/4 vote value is reached.
Thanks again for reading and adding value to the Post. See you around.
