Skill Up & Gain Steemit Knowledge
So you come to Steemit and you are clueless out of your mind. Yepp. Sounds familiar. There's so much to absorb when you first land here. But there is hope. A good friend of mine @valorforfreedom has built SteemSchool specifically to help people who are new to the platform and for those who want to further their knowledge and skills. There are tons of people coming to Steemit and have no idea where to begin. This is a great resource to start with if you are trying to get better or if you are new to Steemit. So here are some quick points about SteemSchool.
Someone who knows what it means to start from nothing
@valorforfreedom is a straight up boss! He started SteemSchool about 2 months ago. He will push you to get better and he has pools of knowledge when it comes to Steemit. I've known him since he first joined Steemit roughly 7 months ago. This dude knows his stuff and he has literally started from nothing. As a matter of fact he is a Steemit Witness too! Vote him witness here.
Ease of navigation
Another plus about SteemSchool is the ease of navigation when it comes to tutorials and episodes. There is an entire library of knowledge among those tabs. You will be able to choose which tutorials you need based on your skill level as well.
Loads of valuable info
From motivational content to the more technical aspects of Steemit you should be able to find something that sparks your interest.
Links
There are a few ways to take advantage of and support SteemSchool. You can visit the website, join the Discord group, visit Phil's (@valorforfreedom) blog, or simply vote him for witness here.
The growth and development of others is something I love to be a part of. This is why I have focused on sharing advice with yall. Also I've committed to financially helping newcomers and minnows through the use of my SteemPower. However I am only one man although I wish I had unlimited energy and unlimited resources to help tons more people. But I'll have to wait until I become Immortal for that. Until then check out SteemSchool, learn, grow, and stay creative. Till next time my friends. Much love.
What are some areas you want to grow in?

This is what I need.. I 've been on Steemit for a short time, and It is very difficult. I've never in my life watched more YouTube videos trying to just wrap my head around this. I have heard about the SteemSchool and I even popped in Discord but, i can't seem to figure out how that works.. lol .. Thank you for sharing this info.. I am studying this and I bookmarked steem school. I am determined to make it here.. I will just keep swimming upstream..lol Followed, upvoted, and resteemed
@pickyvicki Glad you got in touch with Phil. He is very passionate about helping people to get better. It is hard work but it is not impossible. Thanks for commenting.
Yes, I am too... You guys are great thanks for all your help.. I've been so busy with work.. I have not had much Steemit time.. Steemit is hard.. But nothing in life is easy. And I will keep pecking at it till I get it right..lol
You can ask anything on the Discord server PickyVicki and I will give you an answer asap.
Thank you @valorforfreemom. I do have a question.. I am just getting a new laptop up and goin for Steemit. Do I download the Discord app or just use the websit? I find discord a bit confusing.. very odd.. This comment was not here last night.. somehow I must of missed it. sorry so late answering back
I recommend to install Discord on your laptop instead of using it via the browser.
The Discord offline software is reliable and got fewer bugs.
Good to know.. Thanks for your help.. I'm hoping I can get on and figure it how..lol I will make that my mission to get in there soon and poke around more.
Check this out:
Oh.. This is exactly what I need.. Thank you for going out of your way for me...

I tend to do that with toxic people, we can talk about it on Discord if you want to.

Very good information @humanearl, this is very useful for everyone, especially for those who just joined in steemit. This is a new knowledge for all of us. I see from the last few months very many people join steemit, and very many people do not understand with steemit. But with articles like you write this is very helpful to us all.
I will also learn about the SteemSchool you share. Because I have not understood this. Thank you for sharing this very helpful information, and hopefully you will be more successful to work ... :)
So many join and just have no clue what to do or where to go. I wanted to give people info on how to get help on Steemit.
@humanearl sir...
today. Just as far back as January 3rd, Steem was $8.16 USD and that was less than 3 months ago! We can return to these prices, in fact the secret is that Bitcoin controls the prices, and we all know Bitcoin is going to be more popular than steem, and people just end up buying Bitcoin due to its massive global HYPE campaign. And when Bitcoin goes up so does Steem no doubt 100%! We just have to wait and ride the WAVE of Bitcoin! There is almost no steem left for the liquid market and that's a great thing! No one is buying much steem yet but SOON there we be NO more steem left and the prices will go up up up up up ! This is going to end up at $20 steem SOMETIME in 2018 maybe not next week maybe not next month but sometime this year we will fly past our $8 previous high and zoom to the $20 level, and in 2019 I believe we can break the $100 level and by $2020 I DO believe Steem can hit $1000 and we will WISH we had saved up as many Steem tokens like they were Bitcoins! We have a SECOND chance here or no a THIRD chance! If we missed Bitcoin AND ethereum NOW is the time to get into STEEM! $100 Steem is NOT a fantasy! At max 21 million Bitcoins, there arent enough for every one of the 33 million of the world's millionaires to own one! And Steem at 250 Million tokens even in 10 years when we have closer to 400 million, that STILL isn't enough for everyone on the planet, mny people will have to settle for PARTS of a steem, which they already do with Bitcoin! Many today are happy to have just 0.1 Bitcoin since that is close to $1000 and that is a lot of money for most humans on the planet. So just keep stacking steem, yes everyone on steem today, the less than 900,000 users, they can ALL become the new ruling elite, we arent even 1 million users yet, so everyone on here NOW can end up being the millionaires of the future!
Happy steeming..
Man you have the right spirit. I believe we will see high steem prices too. I actually believe we will see at least 50$ steem by the end of this year. Let's buckle up for the ride.
I've just invested a little more in steem. Let's see what happens.
Thanks @humanearl for having minnows at heart. Most minnows find it difficult on steemit at 1st.
True. I have no problems helping at all. If all the big time Steemians did this then we could uplift hundreds of thousands of people on Steemit.
nice blog.keep it up.
@humanearl, Thanks for passing this message. I never knew of these before. I just hump in on the channel
Accelerating your career means moving farther and faster than other people in your same career track. You will only achieve this through:
If you look at all the most successful people you know or have read about, you will find a few striking patterns.
First you'll notice that you MUST take risks to get ahead. The road less traveled is by definition the only road that will allow you to get ahead because getting ahead means doing things differently. Go for big successes or big failures. Anything in between doesn't stand out. The worst thing you can be in your career is invisible.
Second, you'll notice that the people who accomplish a lot ALWAYS surrounded themselves with exceptional people smarter than themselves. From Steve Jobs to Gandhi, they were able to recognize, attract, and retain great people.
Lastly, the type of product, company, and industry you are working in will heavily influence your future opportunities. Tech is a great place to be no matter what your skill set is.
To borrow a quote from Eric Schmidt to Sheryl Sandberg, "Get on a rocket ship. When companies are growing quickly and they are having a lot of impact, careers take care of themselves. And when companies aren’t growing quickly or their missions don’t matter as much, that’s when stagnation and politics come in. If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat. Just get on."
Risks are very key I agree. Man this is packed with powerful stuff. Thanks for this!
Woah.. This is very useful intel... I've been struggling with how to use dsound for a while.. I'll visit the site now, looks like i've missed a lot already.. But i'll catch up. Thanks @humanearl, for all the help you're always readily willing to provide. For people like you, everyone wins, so no competition, we build bridges.... That's golden!
Yes!! Building bridges. Competition comes from having a scarcity mindset. I strive to have a mindset of abundance. I know God will provide for me as I provide for others.
Woah! Now these are great wise words. I won't stop learning from you, Lol... Atta boss!
You went all in on that post, thank you very much mate!
You held your word to promote Steemschool and that shows everyone here what kind of man you are.
I owe you for this one, art of reciprocity, you know how it works.
As I said. It came later than expected but I delivered the goods brother. Keep busting your tail to help people rise up.
Thank you very much for the information, as a beginner, it will be very useful! My main problem is that I do not know what to write about and what to interest people.
Great. He also has info about that too.

the steem school is a good initiative. it will help less fustration on the steemit platform. keep up your good works.
we need to get started from the first day if someone don't have any knowledge about this platform at first they need to spend at least two minimum days to begin with but once that is done no way of stopping keep going :)
You are so right. It is a big learning curve at first.
well its nice and good article to share for steemian, your working wonderful
i like it and follow your blogs
Oh hell yes, I'am also one of the confused when it's my first time on steemit. A lot of info's to take in. Good thing the waves are somehow a little bit settled now :)
That's the first I've heard of Steemschool. I'll have to check it out and recommend it to people I help bring on the platform.
Thanks @daveonarrival. Keep doing what your doing with your travel stuff.
Steem is such a big opportunity that no one wants to miss, specially me. I want to use the steem network in the best possible way.
For me Reputation is the most important number that I want to increase, not my account balance, at least for now. Accounts with high reputation are perceived to have high quality content, so some users don't even read articles posted by low reputation accounts, on the other hand, some up-vote posts from high reputation accounts without even reading the content.
Building a high reputation is like building trust with your readers, you don't get it for free. You have to earn it.
Quality is more important than quantity, so investing time in one post is better than wasting hours in a lot of posts.
You should aim for comments that add value, otherwise, there is no need to post them.
I will reply to users commenting on my posts, this will create a connection between me and my readers, Which will increase the chance of them following me.
There is no easy way around this, you have to work really hard to achieve your reputation goal. The reputation score depends on the up-votes you get both your posts and comments, so these are two areas where you have to invest time and mind power to increase your reputation score.
This is my plan, not a perfect one, but it's the plan that I think will work for me.
That's an interesting point about the reputation. Some people only vote high rep authors which is good for the authors but bad for others have also have quality things to share.
