Here's Why I'm Seriously Contemplating Taking A Hiatus From Steemit

Will There Be A Hiatus?

I have no clue at this point although I'm leaning that way. All I can say is that I have been working hard at this for some months now. I want to make sure that as long as Steemit/DTube are here I can do this sustainably so I need to make sure I'm in good overall health.  Recently I shared with yall that I need to recharge my creative battery and obviously rest can help with that.  The signs are pointing in the direction of me taking a break from this although it wouldn't be for long at all. Either way I am seriously contemplating a hiatus. I have gotten much better at listening to my body and it is telling me I need to listen.

My plan is to see how I feel about things after this week and take it from there. Sometimes we work so much to the point we ignore our bodies and what they are telling us. I've done that before and it's no fun when your body decides it's had enough and shuts down on you. I will do everything in my power to make sure that doesn't happen again. I have no worries about my Steemit momentum either if I do happen to take a break. You have to ask yourself is it worth losing your health over. For me that's a clear no. Not because I don't want to succeed at what I do but because I WANT to succeed at what I do. Peace.

What is your body telling you right now?

I think you should get off Discord. If that doesn't lighten your workload you could try doing a video one day and then a regular blog post the next. If that's not enough maybe a video every other day.
I signed up for discord but am scared I might get sucked into it too much so I am not in any rooms.

My body is telling me to sleep but here I am.

Sometimes we ignore the signs that tell us our body and mind. Rest we need all. Periodic rest can correct the situation. Before, I ignored fatigue and continued to work. Once it led to bad consequences. I had to recover for a long time. Therefore, I can say with certainty that rest is vital for every person who works a lot. We are not robots, but people, and this is normal. So if the question is - work or health! Unintentionally choose health!

@humanearl, Sometimes we forget our healthy coz our busy working. Better health giving better life. Without better health couldn't find good life. So need charge healthy battery. Try to keep healthy better.

When the creative juices slow,
A break will help them flow.

Taking some downtime,
Allows you to return primed.

Follow your gut,
So, your not in a rut.

We all need a rest,
So, we can be our best.

I hope you take a vacation,
And indulge in relaxation.

Yes brother if you think of it that way , take care of the health of yours as because that is the most important thing and if your body is well than everything is gonna be great .If you think it is necessary to take a small break than I suggest you take it and heal your self and thus everything will be in place in no time :)

Stay well brother.

@humanearl,
Bro healthy life is the precious! When we get sick we can understand the value of it! Therefore, look after it very carefully!

Cheers~

Well that's some point of time the time will come to stop but we should not stop completely slow sometimes doesn't make us backward but still take us far ahead from where we are right now

The creator of my favorite anime Hunter x Hunter often takes hiatuses. Do what you gotta do man. There are some days like today where I simply do not have the will or creativity to write something. It’s really weird like a procrastination disease that just hits me

You are 100% correct. What i do, that have to be the success. The other point is sure we have to listen to our body.
If not, body will give the reply. It is can be not good and not well.

I think it's best to listen to your body for early signs and rest can help a lot. I have taken a couple of days off in the last one month and I feel recharged now. I think that will work for you too.

Woww nice video brother.

good step dear. you are absolutely right

I think is ok to rest from time to time, and maybe come back with the strength recharged and even new ideas and content.
I personally find your content very inspiring, I hope you get a well- deserved rest and will be waiting for your return.
Thanks for your fabulous content

Plague of the artistic mind, solution is rest!

  • step away
  • remember your humble beginnings
  • rediscover your passion
  • take the time to write a list of what you have done
  • expand on those idea
  • think of 20 completely fresh ideas
  • learn a new skill to evolve your creation
  • come back with a evolved perspective

The pressure we put on ourselves to create when monetary gains are involved twist the mindset and push many to duplicate others works, ultimately we loose touch with our roots. Rediscover yourself through time taken away, no one but yourself has the power to pressure you into doing anything just make sure it’s truly what you want to do.

I won’t judge you my friend we all need to recharge rather I say do it more frequently, before you feel it necessary!

I have been feeling similar from time to time recently. What I have been doing is taking a 12 hour break from steemit every 3-5 days.

If you body and mind is saying you need a rest after working hard for a long time, then you need a break for few day, probably a vacation for few day.

You will come back stronger and your mind sharper. You will probably come back from new, fresh ideas, and experiences from your vacation.

Wish you the best!

Steemit is a wonderful place to build a blog/vlog but it shouldn’t be the reason behind doing it. I see lots of steemians posting with a frenetic rythm to get traction and praying for whales and trend...
I come here tired and frustrated to share in usual social networks/ forums and usual feedback at these places. I join steemit just to bring my shit as bitacoria diary so every peanut is a plus... but I found a wonderful community full of quality content...
If tomorrow steem grows x1000 all this blahblah will be irrelevant even for placton.

First rule “Don’t invest what you need to live”
I suppose health is one of these things one need to live...
