My 3 Theories On Why People Leave Steemit/DTube: Responding To Comments

Watch On DTube

Here's What I Think

I'm going to cover a few comments regarding why people leave after they land on Steemit or Dtube. The truth of the matter is that it is flat out hard when it comes to producing content and having that content actually noticed by others. This is an issue that I love to discuss because it means so much to so many different people. Hopefully as I cover a few of these comments I can help you to get a better understanding of it and also leave you with some encouragement as well.

Over the last week I mentioned I would be experimenting with how I produce my videos. I will still do videos while in nature but I also thought it would be dope to mix it up a bit. Please provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas for me. I would love to hear what yall have to say. Keep pounding the rocks in your own lives and inspire others to do the same. Much love.

How can "good" content be distinguished if there's such a great amount of subjectivity involved?

Have you joined the OneLoveDtube discord group HERE?

@humanearl,
I don't think people will leave STEEMIT and DTUBE in near future! If I am not mistaken people will leave FB, YOUTUBE now! They need freedom, this blockchain is build to give that freedom!

Cheers~

I just read an article talking about how people are leaving YouTube. It may get interesting for us on Steemit and Dtube. That's why I continue to create content here because I believe in the platform long term.

People will post for FREE all their life on facebook, IG etc ...then complain if they get paid only $1!! After a week on Steem lol

Dude tell me about it. Lol

I think it's more about the views and status that they care about. Wouldn't you feel frustrated if you keep making posts and you get like 2 views and no comments? I can make a 1 sentence post on facebook about guns or some controversial shit and there will be a thread full of entertaining arguments.

@chronogn Its the exact opposite for me. I get more attention on posts here than FB. I think it depends.

Great green screen video.

I have had a real low recently with Steemit. There are so many things that are going wrong right now. However, seeing your video makes me a bit more motivated again to find a better path for my Steemit journey.

Bro you have so much light and love to share with all of us. Remeber that. You are a great part of the community

Suuup ! FLWY !!
Have not seen you in awhile. Yep I'm going through the same thing thats why I hang with Earl and Vince and the boys.

I seen that video.. lol

Is he on Steem? Has he posted on his page yet?

Let me go check that out. Whats his username?

He will be on Steemit in a couple of days. The video is the latest post on my vlog, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. :)

Yes sir,you always help we to get a better understanding of it and also leave we with some encouragement as well.

Thats what I'm here for

It is fine if you see it as a vlog that gives you a few pennies, and wrong if you want to become rich thanks to it.

I don't think it's wrong to want to get paid for your content but its not the most important thing. Adding value to the community is more important

In my opinion when people start considering steemit as business they lose interest and leave. Steemit is all about creating values and adding value to the platform. If one is creating a value with passion, he is not embarrassed (like you are doing).
But the person who is more interested in making money, he is definitely gonna lose this community.
I would rather say that they are not leaving steemit and Dtube, but they are LOSING steemit and Dtube.
Good luck for your upcoming project bro!

Interesting perspective. Adding value is more important here than making money. You add value all the time

My posts are worth pretty much nothing now, but i keep posting daily, I'll be honest, I created it at the start as a way to make extra crypto, but over time I grew to love it, It's legit my favourite social media now man, The first one I log into every day, to just chat about MMA on my blog and then cruise around the feed looking for decent content. The stuff people are putting out now is great, Steemit is only coming to life no in my opinion.

Whenever I see MMA stuff on here its from you so keep it up. We are early adopters so theres room for all of us to grow. I'm anticipating big news about Steemit/steem soon

Thanks Earl :D Yup, I think we are all very lucky and still in the early stages.

The main thing is with what position and purpose a person comes to steemit. If a person comes only for the purpose of making money and not bringing value, this is a failed tactic. If a person first of all creates value and helps others - over time he will succeed here.
This is the place where you can learn, find good people and be helpful. For me, this is important. But a salary is a pleasant bonus to everything.

Yepp the money is just the icing on the cake after adding value

SteemAuto now made easy with your explanation. I tried using it but couldnt understand it, so I left there. Thanks for the SteemAuto tutorial

I know it can be very technical so that's why I tried to make the tutorial very simple. Thanks for even watching the tutorial.

I would say the earlier we start being grateful for the little things we have, the better for us. Thanks @humanearl.

Brilliant and wise

I like the review of comments and your commentary. Keep Pounding the Rock!

Got to. I plan on going through comments like that more often.

You’re one of the most consistent replies I’ve seen despite having a huge following bro. I respect that.

And I respect your hustle. You will do wonders for the community. In fact you already are my brother.

I don't really see the reason behind people leaving steemit.
I believe it is due to drastic drop in the value of steem and SBD.

To me that really shouldnt be a criteria for leaving or staying on steemit. Afterall facebook didnt pay us for all those years on their platform.

It shouldn't be. It's just like you said. People never had a dime on FB but complain about steemit payouts.

Also what they dont realize is that as the value of steem rises the value of their accounts rise too.

Well buddy the points are indeed legit and are the main issue as well .

well like you said at the end it does takes effort and and we will sure be there !

We just have to go on and work hard that you just said !and yes the group effort is needed !

Well enjoyed the whole video and it sure is a nice way of interacting with the followers !I give it a heads up to this effort !

Thanks man I will do videos like this more often. We are stronger together.

I ain't leaving!!!

Thats the mindset. We are early adopters

I'm basically new to Steemit, probably 12 days old. And although I love sharing my artwork daily, I think it's a bonus to get paid to do it. And even though I'm not getting much attention, I want to grow real audience organically and not with superficially bots. Just like I did on Instagram.

I've a lot of work to share, so I won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. Make sure you drop by my page to see my work. Cheers!

This is a great place to grow organically too. I wish you nothing but the best.

Thank you so much, @humanear. And of course, I wish the same for you. I invite you to drop my page to view my artwork. Cheers!

I would love to visit your page. I will do that for sure. Thanks for the invite

i don't wanna blame anyone but the engagement is going down on all time low posts are nearly with zero comments seems like many people joined in the December month when the prices were high i still think that's the effect

I think so too. Engagement is my favorite part of this platform. I can see why people would leave if they don't get any engagement

Most people see steemit as a business and a Get Rich scheme. They gets disappointment when they feel they are not getting benefits for their post. I have tried Dtube and am not sure I got a single view, sincerely I wasn't that happy about it but that won't make me stop. They left cos they didn't get the attention they needed

If you really like making videos keep trying dtube. It takes work but its worth the connections you make

Okay. Though am still trying to put things together, haven't got a good phone yet.

Do you have a laptop?

Yes I do

Oh ok. Yea I just record on my phone. Maybe try to get a used camera or use one that someone doesnt use.

I plan on getting a camera myself

I will be going to a friend's place next. I will use his phone for that

Hard work isnt for everybody. I remember thinking it was easy to make vids on youtube. I figured I had to work hard if I was going to get anywhere. The best thing is to get out there and support other so they support you.

Right. To get better at anything takes hard work. Its worth it though because when you work hard to get better and support others people will appreciate that

It's sad to see those people leave, because that means the number of real people on here is diluted. The fake account problem is getting worse. Farming comments and such. It's getting even harder for the regular folks starting out to get noticed.

I'm liking the new video. It looks good! I'm glad it's working out so far and I look forward to seeing how it evolves as you progress.

I really hope they have a plan to make things better for the regular folk. I know it's getting much harder for people.

I have a bigger idea for some video chat type stuff. I'm still brainstorming the idea though.

I don't think they have a plan, bro. It's on us to make it better. It's not going to be perfect, but let's do the best we can.

Bro i like to see this changes. When you talk about a concreze theme, this kind of video layout whith the static background fits good. But in the other hand i like to see you walking outside and talking about raw thoughts.

I can see you and your blog evolving. Your blog layout has allready a good fingerprint of you!

Fire up! Stay creative! :D

Thanks man. I didn't know how it would go but people have given great feedback about it. I have a cool idea that I want to unleash but I'm still in the process of planning it.

"it's easy to give ppl shit, but they'll rage when shit's taken from them"
This kinda adjust as in They don't care if they are not paid if no one is, but they rage if the see how someone (regardless of the work they've put onto) get 10+USD and they get nothing.
They might complain the same about how many likes they get, but they stay because they have most of theur friends there, don't forget, we all are early adopters.

I once had a guy tell me "you're made alot from this post. I think you are just click baiting to get more attention". He seriously said that or at least along those lines. People need to just focus on what THEY can bring to the community.

Right on. We are just getting started with all this stuff.

Ppl need to get their shit together and keep it to themselves, no one should take care of other's shit.

I love the new style of vlog, and your new equipment. I look forward to you answering questions and responding in the future.

Yes I always am brainstorming way of giving yall more in different ways. Big news coming up about people like you that continue to support me.

I'm intrigued and can't wait to hear your latest idea.

@humanearl - Sir I'm not a genius in Vlogs... But I like to see your music tracks also in these videos too Sir...

+W+

Well that works too. I love adding that music because it's relaxing to me.
