I don't know about polls but I remember somebody talking about social media in general and how to engage with others. I think I saved it somewhere but it had to do with asking questions that trigger others to respond. Not clickbait but just spurring discussion. On facebook there is a group that talks about my hometown. Someone will post a pic of a place that used be but is gone. Or ask a question about some special place they liked and a whole discussion will happen organically. Now if that were to happen on Steemit...

you can probably do some type of embeded poll from another site using html and some javascript
Bolting on to Steemit is just that easy - which is awesome - but I'm wondering how 'ready' the existing codebase is to integrate something like that.
