But wait, isn't that how the cryptocurrency world works, prices fluctuate, targets change, people chew their fingernails.

Here at Steemit, we're looking at long term - the intention is to do something revolutionary, decentralize traditional social media and reward users for their actions.

Today's Agenda:

Turns out you're a minnow just like me (if you don't know what a minnow, whale & dolphin means, read this article by @crypt0)

Previously, I told you how to succeed on Steemit in a quick guide for beginners, which essentially involved the following steps:

  1. Be consistent

  2. Curate

  3. Interact

  4. Be Original

  5. Follow

Although it felt good to share my learnings with fellow newbies, I couldn't really capture the true essence of what I feel about Steemit -

why Steemit's like a first love that I know will last till the end

In the following articles that I list, I cover the entire spectrum of what Steemit is all about. It will help you make a decision today -

to commit yourself to a cause

So even if you're earning a few cents for your posts, you need to realize you're still the initial few users who get to be change-makers. To build a monument, the base is vital and it needs to be strong. So be strong, persistent, and be the change you want to see and you'll certainly be rewarded.

Without further ado, let's get to it:

6 Which Team Are You On? by @trafalgar

Okay, this guy is officially too funny.
He had to be on this list, because his posts make me laugh so hard. And also because he's one of several people who make Steemit beautiful.

There are so many helpful and committed people on the site, people who've dedicated months and been consistent to get to the stage where they are right now.

So go on, explore, engage and envision you future - believe me, you'll certainly live your most magnificent dreams!

Needless to say, do follow the above mentioned fine folks, and also the ones mentioned below (in no particular order) from my previous post:
@cassidyandfranks @surpassinggoogle @liberosist @thecryptofiend @acidyo @doitvoluntarily @pfunk @kus-knee @razvanelulmarin @timcliff @aggroed

There are several more gems on this site, and you are certainly one of them!

Thanks for reading ! Have a nice day. @igsamuel

Very nicely put together post @igsamuel. One thing though...I don't know why if people are on Steemit, why do they need to be convinced to try hard? Just a question i have about articles lately. I think it's nice to be inspiring but i wonder if it's necessary now after 6 months of Steemits life in 2017. Steemit is exacltly the platform that i've been craving and it's a beautiful thing to share anything and everything with everyone and there's more to come. I love the comaradary of it all and i like how creative everyone is. Just sharing a thought, great post.

Very valid question @jakeswingle16, but it's just that people get disappointed when they don't find instant success and give up. It's always good to create a positive environment, and my recent posts are meant to do the same. The point is to be consistent and keep trying.
I was reading this wonderful article by @teamsteem. You should definitely check it out, even the comments section to get diverse viewpoints.
Thank you for reading and appreciate your feedback.

Good point @igsamuel. I guess i can agree that some people might need a sense of direction and disappointment may come easy but eventually it will come around for them if they try. I like to stay positive also but we have to realize this is still in the Bata phase, not even realeased onto the main steam yet. I get it why we want to beat the drum and get people's attention but i think in my opinion we're talking ourselves out of the game. It's like saying the same crazy things over and over. But i personally think that's ok, it's about like clickbait anymore. TRY to think outside the box. Let's try a different approach maybe? I love the effort but maybe some of us are working to hard on trying to convince people to stay when their already here. How about we try putting creative stuff out that will help them get a feel for something they may be interested in and spark their imagination and they may try something they have never thought of. That's all i'm saying, no offense to anyone and none taken. I love the steemit community and i'm meeting new people and am having fun doing something i like to do. One thing i can offer, have fun doing this and do it for yourself not for someone else. If your in it for the money, your in it for the wrong reason, but what you put into it, it will come back to you 10 fold at least. I'll be sure to catch the article by @teamsteem. Keep up the good work @igsamuel.

An excellent point @igsamuel. It's something that I know quite well as the CEO of a startup, and as someone whose blog found an audience after two years of obscurity. You've got to keep plugging. It's easy to quickly grow impatient and fatalistic when your posts are consistently ignored. Especially when you believe that you're writing such interesting and informed content! How could these people be ignoring my stuff. But, you've got to keep plugging. Stay consistent and, as Mr. Robot says, keep your eyes on the road ahead. It will come.

thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts @kykeon3rdm @jakeswingle16

Mad RESPECT (fist bump) @igsamuel
