Hoy no es un día bueno ni grato para mi, ya que he tenido que hacer algo que verdaderamente no quería. He decidido tomar una postura con respecto a algunos sucesos que me tienen muy preocupado por el hecho de que implica un daño a esta hermosa plataforma que nos ha brindado una opción de remuneración, una ventana de difusión al talento que se empeña en crear contenido de calidad y definitivamente son acciones que deben ser penalizadas.

Today is not a good day or a pleasant day for me, since I had to do something that I really didn' want to. I have decided to take a position for the reason of some events that have me very concerned about the fact that it implies damage to this beautiful platform that has given us a great remuneration, a window of dissemination to talent that is committed to creating quality content and these are definitely actions that should be penalized.
El abuso de poder en Steemit / The power abuse in Steemit
Me siento exageradamente afectado porque soy una persona con principios muy arraigados, desde la humildad, la empatía y el altruísmo hasta el principio del agradecimiento, la honestidad y por sobre todas las cosas... el honor. Me da rabia cuando ocurre una injusticia y debemos callar porque pueden haber algunas implicaciones personales, yo he decidido no callar más porque he dejado pasar muchas veces este problema.
Sé que muchas personas me van a tildar de loco por haber tomado esta decisión, otros me van a empezar a atacar por defender un ideal (cosa que está mal, porque el fanatismo a cualquier nivel es dañino), otros me dirán que es porque tengo envidia al proyecto que voy a mencionar en esta publicación, y puedo admitir que en parte si tengo envidia porque si tuviera esa cantidad de herramientas, SP y prestigio dentro de Steemit esta plataforma fuera otra cosa para el talento de habla-hispana, tendríamos más alianzas y menos monopolio, tendríamos más ética entre el sistema de curación y tendríamos un poco más de objetividad y menos decisiones pasionales.
I feel exaggeratedly affected because I'm a person with deeply rooted principles, from humility, empathy and altruism to the principle of gratitude, honesty and above all things ... honor. I get angry when an injustice occurs and I must keep quiet because there may be some personal implications, I have decided not to be silent anymore because I have let this problem happen many times.
I know that many people will call me crazy for having made this decision, others will start attacking me for defending an ideal (which is wrong, because fanaticism at any level is harmful), others will tell me that it's because I envy the project that I'm going to mention in this publication, and I can admit that in part I do. I am envious because if I had that many tools, SP and prestige within Steemit, this platform would be something else for Spanish-speaking talent, we would have more alliances and less monopoly, we would have more ethics between the curation system and we would have a little more objectivity and less passional decisions.
Vivo en un país donde a las personas las tienen acostumbradas a tener que pedir las cosas para que sucedan y no poder trabajar por ellos mismos porque si no son parte de la cúpula o no están de acuerdo con los ideales de dicha cúpula entonces estás excluído de una manera bastante terrible de todo. Donde el cinismo es nuestro día a día y las personas deben acostumbrarse a eso y bajar la cabeza o si no puedes ser detenido, excluído, asesinado y demás.
En este caso no hablo de un caso tan exagerado pero si de algo grave... una falta de ética y una falla enorme en el discurso que llevó a ese proyecto a donde está en este momento.
Si, estoy hablando del proyecto @cervantes.
I live in a country where people are accustomed to having to ask for things to happen and not being able to work for themselves because if they are not part of the group or don't agree with the ideals of that dgroupome then you are excluded in a pretty terrible way of everything. Where cynicism is our day by day and people must get used to that and lower their heads or, if you don't, you cant be arrested, excluded, murdered and so on.
In this case I'm not talking about such an exaggerated but serious case ... a lack of ethics and a huge failure in the discourse that led to that project where It's in this moment.
Yes, I'm talking about the @cervantes project.
Cervantes es un proyecto que nació cuando en Steemit solo existía contenido en inglés; decidieron ser la cara del talento de habla-hispana y verdaderamente (o al menos mientras fui parte de su canal de Discord) fue un trabajo magnífico, veía ese canal de Discord súper organizado, con muchas actividades geniales y era un ambiente que verdaderamente valía la pena. Inclusive una vez me gané 5 SBD solamente hablando por el chat general por una actividad sorpresa que realizó uno de los creadores de Cervantes.
Además de eso fueron un increíble apoyo a mi persona en mis inicios dentro de la plataforma, recibía unos 2 o 3 votos por semana de ellos (y en aquel entonces ellos tenían un voto bastante pesado por el valor de la moneda). Fueron un apoyo tan grande que inclusive los incluí dentro de un post de agradecimiento luego de ganar por primera vez el Steemit Open Mic por allá por la semana 82, acá les dejo el link ---> Venezuela haciendo presencia en STEEMIT: ¡Mi primera victoria en Steemit Open Mic! | Agradecimiento Especial |.
Pero ahora, ¿cuál es el problema con esto? Pues, no podría afirmar si es que el proyecto ha cambiado con el tiempo o siempre han sido así pues desconozco lo que sucedía ahí en el pasado, pero si puedo decir que todo lo que yo he visto de parte del equipo de @cervantes y su creador me ha dado mucho que desear. Han incurrido (en muchas ocasiones) en las peores prácticas de la plataforma como:
Votar contenido plagiado: Una de las cosas que un equipo de curación debería conocer como PRIMERA tarea, pues el plagio desmejora la plataforma y el apoyar el plagio definitivamente es apoyar el hacerle daño a la plataforma. Entonces, si son un proyecto de curación ¿cómo van a incurrir en esto?
Incurrir en "amiguismos" para obtener votos: Es increíble que uno encuentre entre las publicaciones de los curadores del equipo de Cervantes que sea de carácter obligatorio el hecho de que no se vote contenido que "no le guste al curador" de manera subjetiva, es decir, es como si yo como curador no me gustara el rock y yo no votara contenido musical de rock solo porque no me gusta el género así sea el post con la mejor calidad del mundo, esto es una falla de ética TERRIBLE, sobretodo en un proyecto de curación.
Además de esto es increíble el hecho de que (como testimonio personal) me BANEARAN del servidor de Cervantes sin siquiera explicarme una razón sobre este hecho, simplemente desaparecí de allá y mi grave problema no es solo eso, sino que también banearon a todo el equipo de moderación del proyecto donde estoy haciendo vida como curador e irónicamente todo sucedió cuando uno de los creadores de Cervantes se fue molesto del servidor de Discord, ¿casualidad? No lo creo.
¡Oh! Ya recuerdo, recuerdo que uno de los creadores de Cervantes denunció que se votaba contenido entre los moderadores y que no era ético votar a tu equipo de moderación con votos de la misma organización y ahí es donde yo digo ¡¿EN SERIO?!, no quiero hablar siquiera de este hecho porque no quiero parecer vanidoso al comparar ambos equipos de moderación porque mi misión no es esa, de hecho, esta publicación es solo una crítica bien justificada para que mejoren esas actividades porque no es a mi a quién le están haciendo daño (pues a mi ya no me votan desde hace un tiempo, solo porque no me he doblegado a pedirles su voto de regreso ni he usado su etiqueta, aunque sé que si aún la usara no me votarían porque me consideran "parte del enemigo"), le están haciendo daño a Steemit y si tengo que sufrir un escarnio, un flag, un desprecio o algo por el estilo, pues que así sea.
- Abuso de poder al flagear: Este fue el punto que rebasó el vaso para mi porque ok, antes han hecho lo que he denunciado por acá pero nunca me pronuncié porque dije bueno, ya qué, ellos tienen el poder, ni modo... Pero abusar de ese mismo poder para flaguear ya es otro tema, porque un flag de un Witness duele bastante y puede dañar la reputación de cualquier persona. El problema grave acá es que @cervantes abusa de ese poder que tiene (el cuál una gran parte lo ha obtenido por los votos de las personas que los han apoyado) para hacerle daño a las personas que piensen distinto a ellos (no me sorprendería que me flagueen este post).
¿Qué pasó con la libertad de expresión? Por supuesto que no tenemos que estar todos de acuerdo con un proyecto, y los proyectos deberían aprender a aguantar críticas porque así es la vida, si eres un proyecto grande, eres el máximo representante del talento de habla-hispana en una plataforma debes rendir cuentas si incurres en malas decisiones o prácticas. Creo que este abuso debería ser penalizado pero ¿quién soy yo? solo un pequeño plankton en este vasto océano donde el más poderoso es el que tiene la cartera más grande, lamentablemente. Pero no importa, yo seguiré luchando porque esta plataforma se vuelva justa y se realicen las mejores prácticas dentro de la misma y resaltaré negativamente todo proyecto o steemian que vaya en contra de estos debidos procedimientos.
Todo proyecto que incurra en estas malas prácticas siempre serán parte de mis denuncias, hoy es @cervantes porque es la cara del talento de habla-hispana en la plataforma, si ellos caen en prácticas viciadas, los que quedamos mal somos nosotros pues creerán que todos los talentos de habla-hispana hacemos lo mismo.

But now, what's the problem with this? Well, I could not say if the project has changed over time or they've always been that way because I don't know what happened there in the past, but I can say that everything I've seen from the team of @cervantes has given me much to desire. They've incurred (in many occasions) in the worst practices of the platform such as:
Voting plagiarized content: One of the things that a curation team should know as FIRST task, because plagiarism deteriorates the platform and support plagiarism is to support the damage to the platform. So, if they're a curation project, how are they going to incur this?
Incurring in a"friendly status" to get votes: It's incredible that one finds among the publications of the curators of the Cervantes team that it's obligatory that they don' vote content that "doesn't like the curator" in a subjective way, it's as if I as a curator don't like rock and I don't vote rock music content just because I don't like the genre so be the post with the best quality of the world, this is a failure of TERRIBLE ethics, especially in a curation project.
Besides this it's amazing the fact that (as a personal testimony) they would BANNED me from the Cervantes server without even explaining a reason about this fact, I simply disappeared from there and my serious problem is not only that, but that also banned all the moderation team of the project where I'm making life as a curator and ironically everything happened when one of the Cervantes creators was annoyed Discord server, causality? I don't think so.
Oh! I remember, I remember that one of the Cervantes creators claimed that content was voted among the moderators and that it was not ethical to vote for your moderation team with votes from the same organization and that's where I say SERIOUSLY BRO?!, No, I don't want to even talk about this fact because I don't want to seem vain when comparing both moderation teams because my mission is not that, in fact, this publication is just a well justified criticism to improve those activities because it is not me who they are doing damage (because they have not voted for me for a while now, just because I have not bowed to them to ask for return the votes for me again), they're hurting Steemit and if I have to suffer a derision, a flag, a scorn or something like that, so be it.
- Power Abuse by flagging: This was the point that exceeded the glass for me because ok, before they have done what I've reported here but I never said because I said "well, so what, they have the power, no way"... But abusing that same power to flag is another issue, because a flag from a Witness hurts enough and It can damage the reputation of any person at a critical point. The serious problem here is that @cervantes abuses that power that has (which a large part has obtained by the votes of the people who have supported them) to hurt people who think differently to them (I would not be surprised if I receive a flag in this post).
What happened to freedom of expression? Of course we don't have to be all in agreement with a project, and projects should learn to endure criticism because that's life, if you're a big project, you're the ultimate representative of Spanish-speaking talent on a platform you must render accounts if you incur in bad decisions or practices. I think this abuse should be penalized but who am I? just a small plankton in this vast ocean where the most powerful is the one with the largest wallet, unfortunately. But it doesn't matter, I'll keep fighting because this platform becomes fair and the best practices are carried out within it and I'll highlight negatively any project or steemian that goes against these due procedures.
Any project that incurs in these bad practices will always be part of my complaints, today it's @cervantes because it's the face of the Spanish-speaking talent on the platform, if they fall into vitiated practices, the ones that are wrong are us because they will believe that all the Spanish-speaking talents do the same.
Con este post no llamo a la destrucción del proyecto @cervantes, por el contrario, los invito a mejorar sus prácticas porque si se canalizan mejor las herramientas que poseen dentro de su organización Steemit podría ser algo mucho más genial y hermoso para los talentos de habla-hispana.
Yo, en lo personal hasta no ver una mejoría en dichas prácticas les quitaré el Voto de Witness que les otorgué al llegar a la plataforma.
Y lo que si hago con este post es invitarlos a votar por los Witness que si apoyan esta plataforma solo por el hecho de que sus creadores hagan un buen trabajo y se realice el trabajo correctamente en muchos ámbitos.

With this post I don't call the destruction of the @cervantes project, on the contrary, I invite you to improve your practices because if you channel better the tools that you have within your organization Steemit could be something much more great and beautiful for the spanish-speaking talents.
Personally, until I see an improvement in these practices, I'll take away the Witness Vote that I gave them when I arrived at the platform.
And what I do with this post is to invite you to vote for the Witness that support this platform just for the fact that their creators do a good job and work is done correctly in many areas.

No eres el único en esa postura, te contare una pequeña historia, en verdad no se cuanto tiempo lleves en Steemit, pero algo que no olvidare fue su Fiesta de curación la cual llamaron CURAZAO, en esa ocasión yo tenía muy poco tiempo de entrar a Steemit, si llegaba a 1 o 2 semanas era mucho por decir. Entre a la comunidad de Cervantes como han entrado todos, como un acarreado (me dijeron sigue a Cervantes, es bueno) y ahí entre.
Resulta que yo no sabía que era una curación ni nada por el estilo y llegue a preguntar. Y entre preguntas o sorpresa! de:
no me bajaron por no saber en que consistía una curación (supongo ellos llegaron con el conocimiento total de lo que era steemit).
Luego de eso y con el paso del tiempo dije, no necesito de ellos para seguir mi andar, nunca me votaron, y se que jamás lo harán, pero la verdad es una pena que mucha gente aún sabiendo de lo que hacen siguen apoyando este tipo de situaciones, si es por un voto que reciben de ellos, la verdad hay usuarios mucho más poderosos y que realmente apoyan calidad, no amistad.
Otra cosa que es sorprendente de este "magnífico" proyecto es que según se basan en PRINCIPIOS y VALORES pero la verdad con su manera de responder, de flaguear, creo que mis padres me educaron incorrectamente.
Es realmente penoso que el que más pedante se puso nunca hablara en primera persona, sin tener el valor Civil de decir YO DIGO, YO HICE, YO HAGO y culpe a todo el proyecto por sus actos y respuestas.

@cervantes tiene una responsabilidad muy grande, que no lleva a cabo, ¿por que? porque perdieron el horizonte; el dinero, el poder mal administrados, solo llevan a construir una sociedad sin equidad.
Muy deacuerdo con usted mi querido amigo @ilazramusic, una forma contundente y clara de expresar tu punto de vista sobre el problema. Ya basta de abusos en la comunidad. Este tipo de acciones están dando con los pies lo que hemos construido entre todos estos últimos años. Saludos

Llevan 2 años separando a la comunidad, no apoyando a otros proyectos sino, por el contrario, intentando hundirlos; 2 años metiendo a amiguetes sin ningún tipo de talento a cobrar por hacer o aportar nada de valor a la plataforma; 2 años dando migajas a sus acólitos seguidores sectarios e intentando engañar a la comunidada la que dicen ayudar.
Sinceramente, después de estos 2 años, de conocerlos bien en persona y conocer su estructura y funcionamiento interno, dudo mucho que cambien.
The Talent Club, con 1/3 del poder que ellos tienen, haría maravillas en la plataforma, por el simple hecho de que es un sistema colaborativo y cooperativo.
Hace 8 meses escribí este artículo: https://steemit.com/spanish/@moises-moran/un-inconformista-y-los-proyectos-de-curacion y la cosa no ha cambiado. Cervantes es una empresa, que solo se preocupa por sus socios, y no una ONG, que es lo que nos venden, que se preocupa de vender lo hispano, porque a ellos solo les preocupa lo que pueden ganar; solo hay que seguir el olor del dinero. No hay más.
