Amazing post as always. If I'm being honest, there are not many posts on steemit I will take the time to read ALL the way through. Your posts and a few other people's are some of those that I most always read fully through.
That being said, when I first joined steemit in May... man, I can't remember the last time I was so excited for something. I was told about it from an internet friend who I had donated $5 to a long time ago. He came out of nowhere months later and told me about crypto and steemit. He even sent me 1 ETH for free! As a token of thanks for my past donation. For this reason, I want to nominate @madhatt. He has really gone out of his way to help so many people including myself have a chance at financial freedom by introducing and sharing his knowledge of cryptocurrencies and steemit. Awesome guy.
Anyways, he told me about steemit and explained that I could make a bit of money here. As a broke college student working at a deli, with literally $6 to my name at the time... man this whole steemit thing sounded like a godsend. So, once my account got accepted I got right to posting.
Immediately I fell in love. I was never big on social media, there was not much to gain from it in my opinion; steemit was a whole new ballgame. For once I felt like I could actually share my passions and interests with other people, and be rewarded for it. I loved the fact that there were no limitations, and everyone was so friendly! It was a great feeling. I started each morning by checking my steemit page to see if I had any new followers or comments. This initial feeling of awesomeness lasted a few days. Then it was down hill. I really wanted my posts to be engaging, but I never really had anyone comments on my posts initially and that made me lose a lot of confidence. For weeks, my posts had no comments, no upvoted, no views, no money. I was soooo close to quitting, but I decided, one more post.
Who would have thought that the last post before I was about to quit was gonna be my first post that would make any decent money. The post made me around $300 at the time, and after that it was full steem ahead. I'm so glad I didn't quit. The steemit community is like none other; I've never seen so many people ready and willing to help out each other, and I myself have been trying to help others more and more in return.
Steemit is really a wonderful place, I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us here!
