The reason(s) I do not feel like being active on Steemit keep persisting. I fucking hate the fact that Steemit Inc. has failed miserably in tackling an important situation. STEEM will have to suffer the consequences of this utter negligence.

I love the man. STEEM would have moved in a better direction and should have seen a lot of progress so far if he was around. STEEM lost a gem. He'll probably make something that will kill Steemit soon. I really fear that.

Because I am pissed at seeing nothing happening. What STEEM and Steem blockchain can achieve with the right strategy is huge. But what's happening is nowhere near great. It's disappointing!

I understand your point of view too and there are a lot of people advocating similar sentiments.. so even if we set this point aside, @ilyastarar was spot on as far as non-Implementation of SMTs, trending page being one sided and the absence of involvement of ned in this platform is concerned.. dont you think?
Agree but if we wanna be decentralized social network than things like this is possible dough I would like if developers can make some better rules and fix that. Only solution in my opinion would be limited maximum SP. Even if is possible that users can split SP on many accounts, it is not the same like one users have huge SP.

you literally snatched the idea right out of my mind. a month ago I was gonna propose in @utopian.io that Max SP must be 50,000 however I did not proceed with it because of two things
so I dropped the idea. But you are right about devs making better rules. My suggestion is that steemit rules should have evolved as people come up with new means and methods to abuse the system till the point it is beneficial for everyone.
@ned if you are reading this (by any chance) then take some inspiration my man.. once you create something beautiful then it is also your job to preserve it... look what they are doing to your house. I completely agree with @ilyastarar. He has raised some valid concerns in a jiffy. Steemit’s diversification has gone down in the drain and now its like watching a snake eating its own tail.. If we had that sort of money already at this age, we won't bother much too. Probably. But successful people keep making their porduct better and their company bigger.
I completely agree. Steemit needs restructuring because the way it’s running now is destined to fail. The whales control it so the rich get richer. It’s impossible for a new comer to make it up the ranks without a hefty investment into steem.
Steemit Inc. can not start to use their stake to upvote/flag people, because they have a great influence over everything here, and they will just influence things as a central entity. While this will be good for the short term, it will affect the way people perceive Steem and this blockchain will start to lose the idea of decentralization.
About the developments, I haven't noticed any major changes on their github, but @andrarchy says that the team is working very hard to deliver SMTs, which I tend to believe because it is no easy job to launch these things on the blockchain...
I do understand that decentralization is central to Steem blockchain. I just don't think it is working. I prefer a @utopian-io like system where things are accepted or rejected (and thus rewarded) based on some rules and expectations. Steemit just doesn't seem to work towards a great future. I honestly think so.
Or it may, but reaching a common mindset when so much people are involved it is hard. Steem is hoing where the community is dragging it to, so it is our job to make it a good one :)
The trending page sucks. And what about the marketing???? Why there is no star, actor, musician or famous youtuber using/recommending the platform to others, and why bots even exists??? Do we really need them??
I agree too. I wish that the front page had more content variety and not always the same thing from haejin or ADSactly, maybe if some people had the opportunity to show themselves in the front page would be good.
I fully agree that it is a big threat for Steemit that only 1 Steemonian takes 2.5% from the reward Pool. Are there any other Steemonians that earn that much?
And why is there not yet a competitor with a better business model?
SteemIt Inc. is showing every day that they simply don’t give a sh^t.
For weeks, scammers have been stealing thousands of Steem and transferring it out to Binance. The only ones that can put a stop to this are the guys at the top. But it looks like they have all abandonned the ship and left it to sink.
Abuse, bots, the ever postponing of SMT’s, everything points in the same direction: they’ve taken their money elsewhere and left SteemIt to die :0(
Guess I'm too new to understand all this, but seems that I am beginning to grab it. The community seems to be less inspired than it was a few months ago. It would be a bit of a blemish for the creators to let steem decay, but maybe something is so fundamentally not perfect that they can not do much about it without a "revolution" that the community won't allow to happen. Maybe like in Ethereum that wants all the best but shifting to POS, yet has a huge heap of shit to go through before making any real change; and that heap might even be insurmountable in actuality - only time will show.
