Though I'm primarily creating content on Steemit, I have a feature suggestion concerning how readers might interact with the interface. With the new UI/UX that's currently being developed, perhaps you could consider implementing my suggestion, if you have not already done so.
Looking at it from the perspective of a reader consuming content on Steemit regularly, I would like to suggest a feature: I think it would improve user experience if you could animate the upvoting process and make it show the value that an upvoter is adding to the post at the time of upvote. Maybe if it could be a small popup near the upvote button with a green amount in dollar terms that shows and then fades away.
I think a dedicated consumer of content would benefit from knowing just how much value they are adding to a post by their favorite author. This will make them feel good in a way and encourage them to continue supporting their favorite author. And that will mean an inclination to continue holding Steem Power or even increase it, to have a bigger impact.
When the platform is really busy and lots of people are upvoting, an individual upvote's effect can get drowned, making it hard for someone to know just how much of a difference they are making. I think this feature will reduce instances of regular readers powering down too.
Thank you @ned for all your hard work and I'm looking forward to the new UI/UX
Great
