That is very strange. This is all new to me. I don't even know how to convert my STEEM and SBD to USD?

Here's a comprehensive article written by @sykochica which goes over not only what Steem & SBD are, but what you can do with them, including how to convert to other currencies like USD.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I am going to keep writing and replying to good posts like this. Are there any debit cards that don't require a setup fee?
hey iot-corp, You can do it using blocktrade.us. It's how I learn to convert cryptocurrency.
Ok, that is very helpful. I think I will just keep writing and let my STEEM accumulate over time. Although I could use some occasional USD conversions! Trying not to do that, but at least it is an option. This is an awesome site and I am glad I have weaned myself off of the other social media sites that make money off of me. I am following you!
If you don't plan on spending your funds, power up. You can do that without ever leaving the platform, using the internal market for SBD conversion.
Ok, how does powering up help me? I am a newbie.
It helps you gain influence. I just wrote a short instruction on how to do it:

Get an account on Poloniex and transfer your Steems there. Then you can convert.
For SBD to STEEM, you can do it directly from your wallet on STEEM.
Did you read the post at all ?
Misunderstood
Well, you kinda can't do that right now, as this very post points out. Steem & SBD are disabled on Poloniex at the moment.
