How beautiful are the pearls, yet we must know that they are the product of pain. Every pearl is the consequence of an oyster that has been wounded by a grain of sand that has entered its interior. An oyster that has not been injured can not produce pearls.

In the inner part of the oyster is a substance called "nacre" and when a grain of sand penetrates the oyster, it covers it with layers of nacre to protect itself. As a result, a beautiful and brilliant pearl forms.
In our lives we see similar examples. Before we can live different lives, we have to be transformed inside, because life does not emanate from the outside in, but from the inside out.

The transformation comes from the renewal of understanding, and the word understanding comes from the Greek "nous" (MIND) mode, thinking. The word "understanding" is translated into MODE, THINKING. So according to this definition transformation is only possible when I renew my way of thinking or my mind. The word renew comes from the Greek "anakainosis" renovation, that is, the adjustment of the moral and spiritual vision and of the thought to the mind, which has as purpose to carry out a transforming effect on life. According to this definition, the renewal of my way of thinking is to adjust my mind and keep it occupied.

Pain knocks down our structures and certainties and leaves us in Nothing, which is the basic condition of spirituality, it allows us to enter into the consciousness of the most sublime simplicity where all souls become One.
Pain is a great purifier, destroys our pride, burns all the old, the protections that no longer serve us; knocks us down and therefore allows us to move to new stages. Destroy our securities and leave us naked, where there are no longer beliefs that serve, nor answers clichés, or phrases made, where only the breath of our soul can rescue us with the message that in a glance transcends the smallness of the immediate, everything is all right.

Pain accepted and resolved in conscience will always bring us love, creativity and wisdom.
Perhaps what makes us suffer the most is the attempt not to suffer, to oppose that transmuting flow, the cleansing that is suffering. The energy we use to deny our truth turns against us in the form of body knots, blockages and we will become rigid, hard, crushed, defended, denied and even cruel.

The healthy alternative is to accept his presence and, in total clarity, let him act in us letting go and allowing the transformations that our soul wants and that our reason can not understand. Let time tell us where it will take us and what gift it will leave us.

The understanding that every transformation process brings the pain that highlights our attachments is vital, not to understand that living submerged in the drama is an end in itself, but a means to know and clear ourselves.

Perhaps if the greatest social gain sought by the suffering people, or who live exhibiting their dramas, is to arouse compassion and with it the attention and appreciation of others, it is just another trap that keeps us bound and attached to pain. Living as a victim can bring the gain of attention, but it is exhausting and does not allow us to open ourselves to know the authentic harmony with the other, from heart to heart, from mind to mind, from soul to soul, since we will always be locating in a role of victims and not of an equal with which one can count.

The best we can do in the face of an event that hurts us is to forgive, accept and follow. Cover your wounds with several layers of love, remember that the more the wound is covered, the less pain you will feel. Let us learn to forgive, understand and transform pain into a pearl.

"A pearl is a wound healed by love"
