RE: Well, Now I Feel Foolish

You have a point, but I stick to my opinion that one of three things is true:

1.) Dan has extremely weak character; gives up once the obstacles start to pile up.
2.) Steemit is done for and Dan knows it -- run for the hills time.
3.) 1 and 2

And I'm also of the opinion that #3 is most likely. I do hope that I'm wrong. Time will tell.

I also hope you are wrong.

At the same time, I recognize my own bias in that I did invest in STEEM and I love the platform. I want it to be successful so maybe I think it will be. Or at least I want to believe it will be.

I've invested a bit too and I also want it to be successful and I believe that it still can be successful, but I also think that it's a HUGE challenge that the Steemit community and leaders now face, likely much bigger now with Dan leaving so soon.

Just the public perception of Dan's decision could be enough to kill this project, considering the timing of it, with much of the community going at each other's throats before the announcement was even made.

We desperately need stability and confidence (in our "leaders" and their decisions), not more turbulence.

I think he achieved his vision...his mind is already on to the next thing. In the meantime, steemit is awesome and it is still in quite capable hands. Up and onward!

Maybe @gardenlady. Let's hope that you're right.
