Agreed 100%. I think the best idea I’ve got is base it on a community interaction, where people need to manually upvote a post in order for it to be trending. After all we want the trending page to contain stuff that is well written and informative, with all these autovoters, you have no idea if the content is any good. I also think that any bud bots should work against you. The more you pay for votes, the less visibility. Finally the third part has to do with interaction versus self vote. Lots of sites are starting to come up with statistics on user patterns, what content they up vote, how much they interact with others etc. if someone’s self vote percentage is up around 30% or more I think they should be ineligible to make the trending page, this simply promotes more interaction with other people’s posts. Would love some feedback on what you think about these ideas
