Hey #Steemians,
A quick question... Is it possible to re-steem your own posts?
My reason for the question, is lets say some of my really good content was posted forever ago... it is unlikely that anybody is going to scroll that far back into my feed, yet, I would still like the posts to get a little attention (considering their topics are timeless)
Do I just let them get forgotten about in my mountain of posts, can I resteem them myself or can I re-post them, and are you allowed to do that?
That's really a good question. I am wondering the same thing. Hopefully it can be figured out soon. Thanks
If it is past the 7 day payout, might as well just create a new post as an update to the old post.
would it be permitted if the content is the same as the original?
I am sure Cheetah bot would get you, so your best bet would be to say some updated stuff, do some blockquotes on the old stuff and the add a link.
good call. Thanks for the advice :) Much appreciated :)
I'm not sure, i've been wondering the same thing. I don't think you can resteem them but you may be able to re post them. If you have a particular post you'd like resteem, let me know and I'll do it for you :)
all of them! hahaha!! Kidding ;)
It would feel wrong to request a re-steem on anything... I would rather you re-steemed something of your own accord if it resonated with you :)
But I appreciate the offer nonetheless :)
could u reteem this one?

because a post basically gets lost after 7 days, i find that i am not motivated to post new content. good quality content can sometimes take a week to create, an then for it to only have a few minutes of exposure is not worth the effort. I think that's why we are seeing lots of resteems and very little original content.
This post was actually a very good question. So many people were curious including myself. Lol
You cant answer his quick 😆
I was actually searching for this question and it landed me here
