There is NO LAZY in ME...

There may be people in this world that are quite happy to kick off their shoes and lounge around, sleep until noon, let everything cease to process and just laze in general… but I am DEFINITELY not one of them! Hahaha!

“Taking it easy” or doing absolutely nothing, just really doesn’t come naturally to me – never has and never will. As it stands currently, I am on holiday (or vacation if you prefer) and despite the fact that I have been on holiday since Monday passed, I am STILL struggling to do NOTHING! I am ALWAYS looking for something to do.

We are staying at my dad’s place for the next three weeks whilst on holiday. My mom and I are very similar in nature and I said to her yesterday that neither of us are very good at “holidaying” lol. When I got up this morning she was busy scrubbing the bathroom, then she was cleaning the microwave, washing the dishes, doing the laundry and lets not mention the fact that she had been up since about 5.30am so who knows what else she achieved in those hours! haha!

To be honest, I haven’t been much better… I woke up at 6am this morning and I lay in the bed thinking “what the bloody hell is wrong with you woman – you are on holiday! Go back to sleep damnit!” but internally reprimanding myself was to no avail as that was simply not going to happen. I will eventually start getting it right when the holiday comes to an end and I have to go back to running a business! Hahahahaha…. TRUE STORY!!!!

But, my excitement for this holiday was not to sit and do absolutely nothing… it was to have a little bit more balance and time availability for me to focus on Steemit and especially the Steemit Bloggers Server, which I have been able to do so far and I am loving every second!! Now I just need to figure out a way to continue the momentum when I kick off at work in 2018… but hey, where there is a will, there is a way!

But seriously, there are just people that can and people that cannot! I see it in my business every day of my life! Where I will be running FULL THROTTLE all the time – others around me are simply whistling and waltzing… hahaha! Yes, I probably achieve about 15 times more than they do with a 24 hour period, but still, I cannot help but look at them in awe at points because they do not live with that constant urgency to “do, do, do” or “go, go, go” but that moment quickly passes, as I do not have time to stand around and day dream hahaha! Things to do people, things to achieve!!!

I am always pushing, always going that extra mile and always doing a million things at once and to be honest, I get an absolute kick out of it. It “does it for me” if you will… it stimulates me, inspires me and makes me feel passionate about life! I would never want to lose that (yeaah I don’t think that is a likelihood haha)

I don’t suppose that being exceptionally OCD and a naturally very anxious individual really helps my imaginative endeavours to be lazy though. No, because if there is mess - I will clean it. If there is a task to be completed – I will complete it. I simply cannot rest until I feel completely satisfied that there is nothing left for me to do and the sad reality (for me anyway) is that there is ALWAYS something left to do. Hehe!

For the most part, I am quite happy with the way I am in terms of my character dynamic – it is all a part of what makes me a driven individual, because those little traits of not being able to procrastinate or “let go” are the key ingredients to why I am able to handle and achieve on a daily basis and to be quite frank, I think if I were to successfully be “lazy”, I would probably get bored REALLY quickly!

So, here I am… writing, my mom is outside revamping some corner of the garden… and although we are relaxing, we are both still being 100% productive and are completely happy in it…
