Steemit was a different place eleven months ago. People were still trying to find their way & whales were looking for new dolphins. Back then you would get lucky every once in a while and come across a real jack pot. I had put twenty plus posts into steemit without seeing anything happen at all. At the time I was litterly drinking a rum punch while watching the Rio Olympics. I decided to step away from my long heart felt posts and create something people might actually want to read.

I guess the dynamic has changed so much since then as i am only recently joined but alot of stories i saw would produce 0.0x payout. But after all, the fundamental is how your stories could contribute to the community and people will do thei upvote based on that.
I agree 100% bro. Some of the really long deep posts are too time consuming for today's attention span. People today want instant gratification. The recipes that I put so much time to create and blog about on here that takes so much of my time get the least upvotes. I just try to post as much stuff as possible that would be of value and interests. Tell a story and a clear explanation with every post. Once I get to whale status then people will pay more attention to the long deep thinking posts imo.
If only you had joined here earlier, you'd be rolling in it now. I should have 5000ish steem power but foolishy sold my steem.
When it gets bigger we will be whales. We just need more people in here. We need a fishing section on here. You cant even put Fishing as a category, it sucks it only has nature.
Lol I didn't even know nature was a popular tag. I'll have to start using that for my Reel Action series. We're headed out tomorrow to catch some 40"+ hopefully!

I know, I really am going to. I need to get the power steering fixed on it. and I want to get a T-top and a new GPS system on it. Then I am all set to fish at least once per week. I miss it so much. I used to fish every single weekend I would go by myself and fish from 6am until 6pm most days. It is for me the best therapy on the planet to be out there alone in the calm ocean with my thoughts. I get the best ideas out there.
