Thanks for the inspiration! I've been feeling a bit down and sort of obsolete because people just don't seem to be interested in poetry ... or rather, not my "classical" type of it. Your post gives me a chance to look around me again and try a different perspective.
Ah poetry!! Has no-one been showing much interest? Dangnabit. A favourite of mine! Sometimes branching out a bit gets you a few more followers who can then appreciate your poetry! I look forward to seeing your different perspective!
Thank you - it will be an interesting exercise to see what other things I can come up with. I'm glad you like poetry ... most of mine is in 'classical formats', such as Sonnets and such. As someone trained in the classics (art, music, poetry); it sure will be different to branch out!
I do indeed, I have dabbled occasionally but from a strictly amateur formulaic rhyming way. It has always entertained me though. Something very moving about poetry and how it can stir the heart!
