Due to the major downfalls of cryptocurrencies that have been going on lately I felt the need to do something. I traded me some Steem on Bittrex and because of my believe in Steemit I thought why not power up so my votes can make a difference.
So I transfered the Steem from Bittrex to my Steemit wallet.
And from my Steemit wallet powered up the 1200 + 400 Steem which I had laying around.
For many of you an amount of 1,6k STEEM isn't that much but for me it is, and I really hope my votes will make some different and I could help more new users with potential and good content to get the attention they deserve, I understand a total amount of 2,2kSP isn't going to do too much but hopefully it will help people out.
And if you have any Steem lying around, why not power up instead of just letting them lay there in you wallet!

I tried to buy steem/steem power directly from the wallet, but it doesn't work, not sure what happened. I have the same plan to power up and try to have more voting power. :(

If so you can just rightclick - market -buy steem with sbd and from there right click on SP and choose power up :) hopefully you get it to work!
Thanks, no, I want to send steem that I bough somewhere else to my steem account. It used to allow me to do that. Not sure why it stopped working since end of last week.

You're right about the persistence. It's going to take some time for me to be able to add any significant amount of Steem Power, but I'll get there. Many of us will, many won't if they give up.
You have the right spirit, if you keep producing content you will eventually one day be up with the big shots.
