Having experience with admin and modding, I know cleaning up spam can be a chore and keeping high standards can be even more of a chore...especially when folks are used to just going down a list and dumping.
I'm guilty of promoting shamelessly...but always in applicable rooms, and if rules change, my posting habits change in response. I've been guilty of missing updates to rule changes, but once I know differently, I always amend my posting. I like to keep the rooms full of applicable quality content, I mean, that's why we all visit them, right? :)
