Pretty pathetic that people find the need to twist Barry's words into BS. Someone needs help, and they're getting it: so you see it and DV it? Go look at yourself in the mirror, chances are you don't like what you see. Up-voting DOES NOT cost the Steem investors in ANY way. The logic in half of this rebuttals could easily be disproved by the white paper. No, I would not go on FB or TWIT or IG and ask for donations, because there is no basis or possibility on those forums. This is Steemit, and to compare this platform to any mainstream social media platforms is HORRIBLE. If you think Steemit is Facebook you're severely disillusioned. This IS what Steemit was created for, ETH made wells for the underprivileged and created a sponsorship for a driver, why can't Steemit and Steem help someone on the other side of the world? The depth of people's understanding blows my mind, and the fact that people drop in to DV and then try to explain their reasoning geeks me out. I literally laugh out loud reading these people. "Oh I downvoted because I saw a lot of people asking for donations." Seriously? I saw a lot of homeless people in my town asking for change, does that mean that none of them deserve a chance? Goes to show that even after enlightenment through the world and lifestyle of blockchain people are still bitter and ignorant to other's needs. Thank you @barrydutton for helping others!
