Personally, I'm loving this concept. Journalists have traditionally been defined according to their employment by a media organization, by affiliation to a professional association or union, or by completion of an appropriate course of training. There are so many skilled and creative workers on here. I feel at home. This has all of the tools and components to become the fastest growing community in the profession. Increasingly the term “journalist” is used to include all those who regularly engage in collecting or disseminating information to the public with a journalistic purpose. This is the perfect place for people who have no formal training, who are not members of a professional body or who are not employed by media.
