Less is MORE! Why I will be posting a bit LESS on Steemit

Hi Steemit!

As a new years resolution I said I was going to post DAILY here on Steemit

For the first 16 Days I have done just that!!

However, I have spent a LOT of time here on Steemit making videos, editing, and posting.

Some posts have been a little off topic...

And I believe posting LESS will equal MORE for everyone here in the future!

I will be posting more of the MAJOR happenings with myself and my business.

I will still be posting a few times a week, but taking a step back from DAILY posting.

In the future you will see posts from me about (but not limited to):

  1. Educational Online Course Launches (my new video courses, coming soon!)
  2. Joe Parys Production Film Videos (short 1-2 minute action/VLOG videos)
  3. Steemit Educational Videos and Updates
  4. Cryptocurrency Videos and Updates
  5. Vlog Videos and more

I sincerely thank you for all of your support and look forward to seeing you in the next post!

Look, it isn't as easy as anyone makes it look to make any sort of money. It's extremely disheartening to not make over a dime on something that is valuable to YOU, especially when other people are making a killing for the same quality of work that you're posting yourself. No resteems, no anything. I'm just ranting I guess. Anyways, the loudest thing this website is telling me is simple; I'm not good enough. I can't even make a dollar. I'll probably throw in the towel here soon and face the reality of being stuck in a job that I absolutely cannot stand. Anyways, good luck with your success. Hard work deserves it. Take care.

I know how it feels. Checkout https://steemit.com/steemit/@steemladder/a-thumb-rule-for-steemit-minnows-50-100-200-25 for some tips.

In short I would suggest you not to make detailed posts initially if you feel that they are not getting the attention they deserve. Instead find users whose posts are making money and users who interact with their users. Start posting meaningful and insightful comments on posts by such users. You will get upvotes if your comments are adding value. Once you gather enough followers you can start making full on posts.

By the I have upvoted your comment and some of your posts. Don't throw your towel yet. Not everybody needs to be content creator on this platform. You can be a reader(consumer), you can add to discussions in comments and so on. Just find your niche. And if you are really serious buy some steem and convert it to Steem power. That will give you more influence.

Good idea. Following as I'm interested in the online courses that you're planning to launch.

We need more quality content on Steemit, and less content like:

"This is a flower, very beautiful flowers my dear".

:D

Quality of content is really important than the number of posts. But, I see some people just share a picture without any explanation and get a lot of up votes and comments supporting them which they don't deserve. I am following your posts and find some of them helpful for myself. I hope people just give their votes for quality of content:-)

I totally agree with you!

I think I prefer the daily consistency as oppose to the few times a week strategy. I think it creates a better routine and people start to make your content a habit. Just my opinion though, you are awesome Joe :)

HEck, I was looking at doing less and for me that means cutting back to just once a day. I do agree that one good solid Post a day is the route most Steemians should take. I know Jerry Banfield says this is the perfect frequency. It's easily doable for me

I am a kind of a fan of you. I saw your couple of videos on youtube about steemit. And I find you worth following on steemit too. And by the way. I like you concept, Less is more.

I completely agree with you. Less is more. This way, you can spend time on creating more posts instead of rushing off to meet the one day deadline you gave yourself. Quality will always beat quantity.

To be honest, I am always amazed how some of you guys manage to produce daily content, let along quality ones.

That’s completely correct “Less is more”
Thank you so much for everything you do for steemit community!

Quality over quantity keeps the real users engaged.

Thanks Joe, I'm learning a lot studying your blogs here and your Youtube videos. Keep up the great mentoring and all the best to you and yours in 2018!

I can't wait to see your educational Online courses. I teach online courses (different subject though), and I'm always looking for ways to make the courses even more dynamic.

Your posts are great.....it doesn't matter how often you post them....they'll always be great

I agree that less is more, especially when coming from a person like you that we know publishes quality content and inspires us. I am looking forward to learning more from you, as I am trying to figure out how to better my chance here. Today I feel a bit sad because I poured my heart and soul into making a quality post and I have only gotten 1 vote within 6 hours. I followed your Udemy course, opened an account last week and have been studying steemit ever since, I even invested a bit! But it seems so hard to get noticed here and build a following. I am considering maybe an upvote bot service but I'm not sure if it is the right thing to do. I also joined a minnow support group discord channel yesterday but I can't even register because the server is too slow. Anyways, I really don't want to give up, I know it is early but minnows like me really need support from big whales to feel motivated to continue!

I know what you mean, it is disappointing when you put your best effort in and receive nothing in return for your time and energy. I have seen the same as far as commenting and I find that discouraging to users. People want to have their efforts noticed even if it's just acknowledgement. I wish you all the best in your efforts. Don't give up if you really believe in the platform.

you have good content so, its just the right move! great example to set for future steemians and other content creators. cheers.

I love this site but I honestly cannot think of anything to write each and every single day so my posts are less frequent, however, I do stand for commenting on other people's content as I saw for myself that I gained the most from commenting rather than my own original works.

Thanks for the tip. 🤩

You're welcome. I still have a lot to learn about Steemit and by no means do I consider myself an expert. Recently, I've noticed that less and less people are replying to comments, it's as though they are posting in order to receive rewards than actually interacting with one another which I find discouraging and counterproductive to building a strong community. Keep posting and hopefully, you'll gain from your interactions. Wishing you all the best.

You are really good at this Social media stuff. And have a huge following. So Posting you best sounds like a excellent plan to me. Ill stay tuned. :)

We look forward to seeing some great quality content in the future. It is key that you take your time and deliver eye-catching and informative posts.
We post daily as we just joined last week and still have lots to produce.
Also, we want to thank you @joeparys for your course as it was very through and detailed. It has helped us get started on this platform.

awesome stuff, I hear ya, sometimes it gets overwhelming posting and posting and posting... I know my steemit game is going to take a hit as my last semester has just begun, so let's hope LESS does = MORE, esp. in the long haul.... Respect

what do you do Mr joe as a profession,I think you should stick to that and be more dedicated to it just an opinion

hope this is a good idea..we have always made use of your valuable posts..we have learnt lot from them :)

Posting less should definitely bring more, i should agree with it and also implement it. I'm already your big fan and do follow back. Thanks

Good advice! I will think about doing the same thing. It could reduce the stress finding topics for posts. It also can increase the joy of using Steemit. Keep going :)

great!!

Super interesting post Joe. I totally believe on what you have planned on doing. Stepping back from posting everyday to making more quality posts. Just started following you. Hoping to learn some new skills through your videos. Keep doing what you're doing!

It is always better = to create less content but to be more valuable ! That is also the idea of the platform, to have valuable content on it :) You have great content so far, keep it up !

Thanks Joe!! I am always watching your videos on you tube and I think your explanations about teaching online and steemit are very clear, thanks for sharing your strategy.
